Two days till payday ... the longest two days in the month, why is that?! I'm looking forward to updating my sig then anyway, as I should hit at least 8% this month ... slowly getting there!:www: Saving for a deposit - Target £30k by 24/03/14 (30th Birthday!) :www:

Congratulations Dinah! I think there are quite a few of us with similar amounts and similar targets. I like seeing how everyone's doing it gives me a real incentive to keep saving and not spend money on silly things I don't really need! Yay payday tomorrow!Trying hard to avoid supermarkets this year....:)0

Congrats Dinah, wow a lovely boost for you emotionally and target-wise, congratulations! The extra work will definately help get you there faster.
We will hopefully add another £1k in the next few weeks but hard to say as it's been an expensive few weeks, but we will add whatever we can.MFW #185

Congratulations Dinah!!!
Our savings have slowed down recently, but we're still plugging away. I've got a job for 4 weeks of my summer holiday (I'm a teacher normally...), but a factory next to my place of work has just (today!) gone up in flames and I doubt I'll be able to earn any money for the rest of the week. Plus my car is still up there. Anyway, I'll be able to put some of that money aside.
I'll also be getting paid on Friday from my "proper" job, so I'll be able to boost my savings again.Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0 -

Is everyone on here looking to buy more in 2009 or 2010? More importantly, if you had the money, would you do it now?MFW #185

I do have enough money now if the right house came along. If it was my dream home I would buy. Very little exciting or realistically priced seems to be coming on the market here.
My gut feeling is we may have further to fall or if not we'll be sit bobbling round the bottom of the market for at least 12-18 months.
For that reason I'll keep on saving and only buy if its truly a house I want to live in for many years to come :jLooking for the perfect home and saving to make becoming a MFW easier
