The usual answer to this question is to find someone who is going back the other way and wants some Euros. At this time of year that shouldn't be difficult.

With a current (tourist) buying rate of c€1.25 per £ and a selling rate of c€1.35 per £, maybe a deal could be done between the two!

M&S are probably best - they have an even spread whereas the Post Office and most banks skew it against the customer for buying

Hi - this is really just a moan. I've watched with horror as the euro has got stronger and it now looks like our trip to Spain this year is going to cost us about 20% more than last year yet there seems to be little in the news or on sites like this - or am I missing something. We're meant to be a member of the EU whilst I'm not bright enough to know whether it was wise to stick to sterling I do know that nobody expected it to get this bad ... and it looks like it's going to get worse. Someone suggested that the euro and the £ will be on a par before long ! That will mean trips to Europe will have more than doubled. Ok I'll stop now but if anyone has any observations it would be good to hear from you. Best Grumpy old man Roger. (and no I don't want to go to the States)

How about the carribean? Or any other dollar spending country? Maybe Mexico!? I know they like dollars, although i think its peso's?

Shame about the currency, but what can you do! Moaning won't make the £ stronger unfortunately.

What is wrong with spending your holiday in Weston Super Mare?
