  • i notice the euro is currently at 1.16 which is pretty good.....i need to transfer some euros to italy for a hotel reservation. i am just wondering whether just to send the deposit as requested or to pay the whole lot in one go whilst the rate is good. we are not going till april so any ideas on how the rate may go over the next few months?

It's anyones guess. Unless you are changing thousands then a shift either way is not going to make much difference.

You could try one of the buy now for delivery in April companies - if they are offering a better rate it means that they (or their currency brokers) think that's the way things are heading.

    is one such company.

Of course if they are right (they are not always) then rates at the time will be slightly better than the ones they quote which include their risk factor. So if you believe them, wait.
