Hi all. I need to exachange a large amount of money (>£5k) in to Euros since I'm moving here permanently. I have a Nationwide flex account, but don't think doing 20 withdrawals of £250 is the best way to go about it.
Can anyone recommend a company/service that offers good rates and will transfer to my Germany bank account, or is it better to go down the cash withdrawal route?
Thanks in advance.0 -
well as no cash point charges the20 withdrawls will probably be the best rate return as based on daily inter bank rates0

Hi all,
I too need to convert £ to € in thousands at a time (usually £3000 - to £5000) and transfer abroad. This usually involves ringing round all the currency brokers and getting way below the interbank rate. Yesterday the interbank rate was €1.15 ish yet I was quoted €1.12 by a broker. Does anyone know of an easy way to compare several brokers? HiFX let you do all the transaction online once you have set up an account but their rates don't seem to be anything special. Basically what I need is a foreign currency comparison site for maybe small businesses or companies that trade in euros that I can tap into. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
