Oh Tia and Justamum, not good to hear about you both having issues with OHs, hoping things are resolved soon, big hugs for you both x
vanilla, you did something, of course it counts!
Kaz, thanks for your concern. Car seems fine, young moron did try to barge his way past the car after DP had to drive on the wrong side of the roundabout to get back in to town (because said moron blocked the roundabout as DP was going round and tried to open the cab door) to find a police officer, who DP then flagged down and the moron tried to get past by hitting the car. Police officer said to him not to worry about his driving during being chased (he was worried incase was on CCTV I think) due to the circumstances, the girls in the cab DP didn't charge to get home, they must have been scared stiff. I'm just pleased DP had the sense to head into town instead of going to the village where the girls lived to get the police to assist. Like you say they are going out to do a job but just end up with grief off idiots. Luckily as DP is self employed he can (if he can afford to) just come home if he's had enough, he can usually sense when it's going to be 'fight night'. He phones me several times a night so I know he's ok, I've had to stay on the phone several times when he's had iffy passengers and he says where he's passing just incase anything happens, iffy passengers inc ones playing with flick knives in the back of the cab, several drunk males arguing with him etc.
Trying to decide what to do about the things I want from Argos, they are all items which can be 'collected in store' we have money sat on his card I overpaid, anyway, we could do the easy option paying £4.95 to get it all delivered, or, we could order it in 2 lots, pick it up ourselves (hoping a wardrobe will fit in the car) and use a £6 and £5 money off voucher we have (can only be used in store)...but then it'll cost us in petrol aswell. See this MSE thing is addictive and you could turn into a tight sod like me who's always looking to save money :rotfl:One day I might be more organised...........

Morning all.
Another gray, wet day here on the south coast. Fairly breezy too. Which is why the wetness is a shame - the washing would dry outside brilliantly otherwise...
Right, Work work and ebay are the flavours of my day today - what's yours?I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Morning everyone,
Dull sky here looks like another wet day coming.
Plan for this morning
1) kids breakfast and changed
2) get them to sunday school
3) get home get a shower
4) lift kiddies
5) get OH up and get dressed
6) get to church
Thats the plan for the next few hours anyway:rotfl:
Right cuppa and go, go, go.Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
Morning everyone.
Rain and more rain here too. Shame as DH was going to take DS to the local farm with his parents, and i was going to try and rest and do some pottering for work tomorrow.
Been up since about 7 with DS. He just managed to eat 2 slices of toast, so i am convinced he is back to normal at least. Shame i am not. I slept better at least. Made an executive decision to drink a glass of red wine rather than waste my time on more parecetomol, and woke up feeling marginally better. Sinuses are less painful and my nose is actually working again - still couldn't smell DS's nappy, but never mind.
Plan is to try and get into work tomorrow, as i have 2 lessons - one of which i think is in the hall with y9 watching a shakespeare play. The other, y8 will be horrible whatever i am like. Then just one lesson on tue, and wed i would probably get away with sticking a video on.
Supposed to be having a friend visit on friday, but to be honest i am tempted to cancel that as rest is probably more the order of the day, but i will make that decision later in the week.
Right - plan here:- mark set of y8 tests
- plan y8 lesson for tomorrow
- try to mark some y7 books
- have a look at one of the y9 schemes - only 2 to do before Thursday
- put car seat back in my car so DS can go to nursery tomorrow :T
- empty my car boot of school stuff so we can do the next load tomorrow and room will be empty by end of week
- next coat of varnish on bedroom door
- whatever else can be managed in that room
Enjoy your day folks
Michelle, x0
