Lurapk spreadable is half price in tescos if this is any help? We made our own butter today for the first time - interesting experimenf for 4yo, but not cost effective unless the double cream is reduced. Tastes like Lurpak though.

Bellie, I hope you have lots of dust sheets down - took me weeks to clear up after our last chimney excavation, putting off the next one. Can we have before and after pictures please?

I've had freshly made butter once, wow, lovely. Need some warm bread to go with it hex ;)

Tia hope you enjoy your evening out after all the effort you've had to put in sorting things out, well done at finding someone to borrow off rather than buy aswell :D

I remember the brands/compromise thread, I think a lot of OS peeps realised they were a bit more of a brand/quality snob than they thought :rotfl: we have certain things we like which are branded goods, not too many I suppose but as always a little of what you like is better than a lot of what you don't :D

Dinners made, being slobs and eating sat on the sofas :D well I will once mines cooled enough. DS2s swiped half my cous cous, he loves it. Promised the boys popcorn if they behave themselves tonight, could do without another evening like we had yesterday.....
One day I might be more organised...........

I remember making it at primary school and later in the year we made bramble jelly with same teacher - strangely enough I don't remember any other cookery lessons EVER from primary school!

If you like lurpack spreadable then there's an asda version which tastes fine to me and much cheaper too. I'm not a brand snob but rarely go to the value extreme either except for tesco's dark choc digestives - yum and about 27p!

Not much flying done here today but have done lots of washing and the place is really tidy (for once).

I don't even do the spreadable Lurpak - has to be the block.

That's the only thing I use my microwave is for - softening butter and defrosting meat :rotfl:

See scrambled egg has to be done in the pan with butter and fresh cream if I am being a real snob :rotfl: I think we all have our little things we do/buy that need to be 'just so' :D I use my microwave a lot less but it's handy for when I am out with 'can't cook, won't cook' is left to fend for himself, usually used to reheat what I have made. We have a hole in the wall for the microwave and to be honest I'd only fill it with junk if the microwave wasn't there :o

Dinner eaten, so pleased there was some of that left, yum! Kleeneze order arrived (so much for morning) the one thing I really wanted was out of stock, grrr, but got my rubber broom to try on the carpets (to try stop me cleaning them with the lint roller :o ) and rubber pastry brushes to try (sick of bristles in my dinner!!)

Trying to get the beef for tomorrow to defrost, might have to use the defrost on the oven, going to have to put it in the SC if I want it ready for dinner as it's huge and DP has decided we're all going out on the afternoon, then need to go and see my Dad aswell. Mother coming for dinner so can't be too late cooking it. Argh! All my plans this weekend have been mucked up by him being a pain. Ok maybe that's a bit of an exageration but he's got on my nerves so need a moan.

Ok, where is my list? See what I can cross off then will fry off the chicken while the popcorns cooking...

Thanks Hex. I tend to use blocks of butter for baking, but DD hates the spread I bought from Lidls, so will treat her to that. I'm such a harsh mum!!

I sit on one of those large exercise balls instead of a chair at my desk!

    Is lurpack a british butter?

hoovered the stairs/landing and my bedroom - bed is stripped so I need to make that back up later.

Kitchen looking fine now I have hoovered the grass and mud up off the floor.

Still not wiped living room/family room or sorted toys papers but there is always tomorrow.

Tia I have a 6 year old and for us no way is he having or needing a phone. DS1 and 2 had there's when they started secondary and they hardly use them - just for lifts from sports things really. Only giving you what we do and not judging your choices in anyway.
