Thank you - my mind is no longer boggled!
I was just thinking, there's one thing I REFUSE to by however good the offer and that's Persil washing powder of any shape or form. I found their advertising campaigns in the 1980s so condescending and insulting that I vowed then never to buy it. And I haven't. And I won't.
Mind you, my stocks of 'on offer' washing powder are completely depleted now and I need one of the others to do an offer - Persil's been on offer for what seems like weeks now. And I still refuse to buy it....I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

I'll be next year before my on offer powder is finished :rotfl: so haven't really looked, I think someone said Tesco had Surf on offer. I'm currently using Wilkos own, Ariston or something I think it's called, seems to work well for us.
ARGH!!! Why does everything happen at once, dishwasher isn't emptying. I've dragged all the filters out (burning my hand in the process), cleaned them all, put a tube down what I think is the emptying hole nothing, put it on a wash just with some DW cleaner, still a pool in the bottom. Just put it on again, see if I can figure if it's not emptying at all then see if I can find an instruction manual online - Anyone got a Bosch Exxcel Silver Edition if I can't find one? Argh cancel that just looked on the website and appears there are many versions of the Exxcel so I now need to find out which one it is. GRUMP!!!One day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Lil me - I've got a Bosch but the Logixx rather than the Exxcel one.
When I had a similar problem, it was actually pipe the water drained into that was blocked. My dishwasher drain taps into the drain from the sink. Once I unblocked the sink down pipe, she worked fine again.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

I think someone said Tesco had Surf on offer.
Yes, they do, it's their new 'essentials' (or something) range with essential oil added to the powder. I actually trialled that for them before Christmas. All I can say about that is that my house had an overpowering smell of essential oils from the damned soap powder and that it didn't rinse off properly on a short wash. So, I won't buy that because of the smell!I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Thanks soappie (I don't buy Surf but was the only one I noticed as it was on the end of the aisle), will try the sink drain cleaning first, sure I have something in the magic cupboard which will wipe through anything :rotfl: I've been on the website and can't seem to figure which one we have, when I downloaded the one I thought it was, the manuals got different place settings, bah! It does say however they use 12 litres of water, there is not 12 litres of water in the bottom, so that's a start....some of it must be going somewhere. One day I might be more organised...........

Lil-me - let me know how you get on - I find the good old sink plunger does the job.
Right, off to watch Rosemary and Thyme - I do enjoy that programme!I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Soappie, in the absence of a plunger (broke the last one) I've tipped down some drain cleaner, says wash through in half an hour. Flicked through most manuals and all seem to say try the same thing, mainly check for pump blockages which I need to get DP to do, Torq 20 screw driver, hmmm, it's finding that which I have the problem with rather than removing the cover as his garage is a tip.
Just watching 'I'd do anything' some really good voices that they turn down, such a shame as you can tell it's because 'the face doesn't fit'. Some of them you could cry with them as you can tell it's their only dream to get through. I know they have to go through with gut feelings but it's got to be gutting for those who don't get through. Awww and bless one ladies little boy and the other with a wonderful supportive boyfriend...she had me in creases!!! I'm so pleased she got through.....she's had me crying laughing. Oh no the children's entries are on next, that'll have me crying when they say no
Right, anyway, will wash that stuff through in a mo, see if it makes any difference....but can expect I'm going to have to 'ladel as much water as possible' out again as the manual put it so DP can take the pump cover off.One day I might be more organised...........

Evening everyone
Well, the shoppings done, I knew it would be a big one but even I was a little bit shocked, £129. I didn't look at OH just carried on packing while he paid. :rotfl:
24 muffins made, Mmmmmmmm....half cranberry, half double choc. :T
1 white 2lb loaf, but, the top burnt. Anyone got any ideas what I did wrong?
I haven't made bread since I was at school - yep 20 yrs ago. Anyway, we cut the top crust off and it was fine. It was lovely with the homemade mushroom soup. Made double, 1 for the freezer.
TIA - DS2 had a phone when he was 10, when he started High School. He only had our cast offs - we are on contract so regularly get new ones free. DS2 has begged for one for over 2 yrs, saying almost everyone in class has one. He has just had old one off DS1, he only wants to take pictures at the moment. I put £5 credit on only, so he won't waste a lot whatever.0
