Hi winky welcome. Glad you are getting this system to work for you.
Just popping in here to chill out a little before making a start on the school work. The MIL is driving me slightly batty. They have all just made lunch and gone out leaving the kitchen a real state again. Saying that, i will be greatful to wash up myself as everything i have took out the cupboard today to use has been dirty, and needs rewashing again anyway.
I'm feeling rather mardy again, mainly cos DS wanted a taste of the hot cross buns they were eating, and both ILs refused to let him have a bit and were talking to him as though he is greedy. He's 16months, and what would it have hurt to give him a taste. Grrrrrrrrr. DH ended up making one for himself so he could share it with him. Especially as the poor monkey has just been ill for 3 weeks and barely eaten, so course he now wants to eat tasty food. speaking of greedy, who can eat a 3 course hotel breakie at 9:30, then have room for hot cross buns and fruit at 12:30. Wonder where DS has inherited that from then,
Anyway, lunch now eaten. I have a few blissful hours of peace. I am going to start by washing up and putting away everything in the kitchen they have used/left lying around. Then i am going to make myself a cuppa, and plan my lesson for tomorrow and do some marking. Make the most of it as i will probably have 4 hours peace. Also keep reminding myself i only have to put up with it for the rest of today.
I don't think i am usually this mardy, and i really don't like myself when i am like it, but i know you girlies understand, and DH really wouldn't want me slating his parents.
Catch you all later.

Managed 2 lots of laundary, (well one is still in the washer and the other in the tumble drier) swished kitchen and bathroom. Dusted, vaucumed down stairs, mopped the floors and put away the washing that has sat waiting nearly a week! Put fresh sheets and duvet on beds. oh and walked the dogs!
Off to work until 9, but my mum and Dad who live in Majorca are coming to stay later, I think they might be shocked! Mum is not a housework type person, and I think I inherited the "oh I'll do it later when I have got time gene" from her!
Need to make a move... could someone give me a kick up the backside please?
Winky x
Ps It looks much better when written down doesn't it! I feel really pleased with myself!!!!!Right now I'm having amnesia and deja- vu at the same time. I think I've forgotten this before0 -

Dusty - what were you doing outside for hour and a half?
DS2 football match. They Lost.
Thawed out now and everybody had lunch etc. Kids all in PJs after baths which is a bit of a problem as DS3 has a party in 30 minutes.
Whilst he is there I plan to get the living room and family room wiped over and sit and sort some paperwork.
DS2 has borrowed some wii games to try so he will be quiete - DS1 has homework. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Collected kids, who had a great time at church. B&SIL are christians and go every week, we are not but DS1 has been asking a lot of questions that I can't answer so hopefully they have filled him in! :rotfl: He had fun anyway, but DS2 takes after me and was shouting at the Minister....
DS1 is really poorly with a bad cold so I have a feeling he may miss a day or two of school this week. We were planning on going to my Mum and Dads so the kids can meet the new dog, but DS1 is too ill. He needs a nap and so does DS2 so I think I will put a DVD on upstairs and tell them to lie on beds to watch it. Cheats way!
To do today,
Mop floor
hoover floor
more washing
ironing
dishes
wipe sofas
S&S kitchen units
To do this week
Take stuff to dump
Order slabs
Fill out FOS form for PPI reclaim
Pay for DSlite to be repaired
Get Easter stuff (eek!)0 -
Hi update from newbie
well my first week has gone quite well you can now surfaces in the kitchen that have been hidden for months :rotfl:
Have not been too busy over the weekend but I have taken up a suggestion from the board re tackling difficult tasks in shorter bursts. (I choose to do 15 mins)
SO...... you can now see my study (dumping room) floor. I have two black bags of rubbish, and, one for the charity shop, and one to recycle :T. Still cannot see my desk for paper though , so guess I have a long way to go yet  (this acheived in five 15 min bursts)
Looking forward to next weeks challenges, although am back at work so this is difficult week for me as I have no routine yet.
Hope everyone has a good week and Vanilla hope all goes well for you and your family.Mortgage Owed: Sept 14 - £107398.200 -
