    Morning all

Weather not to bad here but hope everyone else is okay - we've got bright sunshine here. DH packed off till Thursday, so just me and DS whos having a nap.

Got a fw bits done this morning, including being brave and ringing the HR department about this interview and getting a time for it. Need to pop out and get some bits, might even brave a walk to Sainsburys IF the weather stays like this.

Zed - well done on the run and fundraising
Hello and welcome to all newbies!

Right, DS finally dropped off so few jobs and then a brew I think xx

Just got back from speech therapist with DS1. Was just an initial assesment and it went really well.... he wont need therapy after all, just need to correct his pronounciation when needed. She said not to worry about him in the slightest, he has a brilliant vocabulary for a pre-school child, the pronounciation will come in time.

I'm soooo happy, and he is very happy with himself hehe. Now i have to get lunch sorted, then back out to take him to nursery. DS2 to creche while i do my literacy class this afternoon, then pick them both up and my nephew before soming home at 4pm. Then gotta start flying, thankfully i made a huge start on main bedroom yesterday so shouldn't take me too long lol.

Weather not to bad here, not alot of wind(so far), just lots of horrible cold rain. Hope everyone is safe today.

Think my brain is still in bed, what should have taken 20 mins tops has took me an hour lmao - the plan was, go to Lidl for laundry basket/sugar/sarnie stuff then nip across the road to the P.O pay a bill and get gas/elec whilst I was there - Nope! forgot to take bill and gas/elec card and also had no cash, forgot the sugar so decided to nip home get gas/elec card and nip to Sainsburys for sugar and cash for gas/elec. Remembered sugar (bl@@dy miracle) but went to gas/elec shop without cash so went BACK to Sainsburys for cash. I also only had my sandals on (up the toe things) so my feel are wet and freezing!

Glad I'm staying in now, oh and just remembered littleys parents evening tonight, must write it down or I'll forget.

Brew time now I've got sugar.

LG what a rip off no wonder you're hopping mad, good for you trying to get the garage to reimburse you, it's their fault it broke afterall.

  • Morning everyone!
Am sneaking in a post from work.
Having read all the Crufts stuff on here yesterday afternoon, I watched the end 'best in show' bit..DH thought I had lost the plot as I'm not a big fan of dogs - but the giant schnauzer (or however it's spelt!) was gorgeous!

    SummerMoon - great news!
Our headteacher prompted me to get a referral for DD1 when she was 8(couldn't say 'l', came out 'y'. Having waited 18 weeks - by the time the appointment came she sat down and said beautifullly clearly 'clown', 'flower', 'yellow'. The therapist was lovely - said it happens all the time - still I was SOOO embarrassed!!!:embarasse

DH amazed me this morning by asking what was on the flylady list for today. Maybe, just maybe its starting to work!!!:j :j
Anyway - work to do - flying tonight!

    See you later!

Sunny here at the moment so have put the washing on the line to start it off - blowing away nicely.

    Done the floors in kitchen/hall/toilet
    Kitchen window seal
    Laundry all put away
    Been in the loft.

Need to do another half an hour in the kitchen then lunch/ebay packing and out to the post office/Tesco

It will be great if I can start the week on track and not behind.

Morning everyone, think my pif just left the building:rotfl:
OH still in bed so will do the bedroom later. 1 at school and 2 at home, DS1 says he's sick mine he seems fine now playing the xbox.

Windy and wet here last night, washing line down again so need to get OH to put it up. Did have clothes on the line that are now all muddy and back in the WM.

    Thing to do
    1) get DD's glasses fixed
    2) do a shop in tesco's
    3) appointment in at the school
    4) see the doc
    5) pay bills online
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

SAV3R, the only liquid I know of that doesn't freeze is vodka, probably not appropriate for a 9yr old science class though:confused:

soblivion - I think any alcohol with a content higher than 42% wont freeze. Tanquary (sp) gin won't freeze, but goes a lovely, almost syrupy way. But as you say, probably inappropriate. How about Antifreeze, vinegar, and a salt and water mix?
  • Hi, there! Weather was awful first thing, but bright and sunny now so I've had some time in the garden :j :T I've washed half the kitchen floor, so I'm sat with a coffee until it dries, so that I can move the furniture and wash the other half. I've also started the ironing, so that needs finishing. Just had a e-mail from DH and he's had a bonus and a pay rise, so life is good  So far today:

Finish knitting DD’s hat – done
Mend DD’s other hat - done
Download photos from DD’s camera - done
    Order Tesco tokens – done
Sprouts – all picked – to freeze
Dead apple tree – taken down – to chop for firewood
Broken branch – removed – to chop
    Brown loaf – in BM
    WM – on

    Catch you later, Penny. x

I know this isn't a question about flying, but it was on my today list, DS2 has homework we are struggling with.

We have to freeze five liquids and see what happens to them. Just wondered if anyone has any suggestions as to what liquids we could use. Surely most things will just turn to solid ice.

I hated science at school, wish they could have suggested what to use and we see what happens to them.

    Can anyone help? pls?

Ethylene glycol (anti freeze) will stay liquid in a domestic freezer, but be careful as it's toxic to humans.
