Ikea are already running a promotion on kitchens:

    http://www.ikea.com/ms/en_GB/campaigns/appliances_offer.html

    Note the T&Cs...
Spend over £1,500* on any IKEA kitchen and get £200 worth of IKEA kitchen appliance for free! *Qualifying purchases amount, (£1,500) applies to purchases of any IKEA kitchen products including: FAKTUM cabinets, doors and drawers, worktops, interior shelves and hinges, sinks, taps, knobs handles and appliances. Offer valid from 10th March - 15th June 2008 (Excluding April 19th) and available at participating stores. Cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
I'm also looking to buy a kitchen. I plan to get one sussed over the next month, and then if this offer actually happens (it sounds like it'll be announced on the day in the national papers and with TV adverts perhaps?) I'll be ready to just go down with my prepared list buy and scarper before people start stabbing one another.

Oooo Wow. I love Ikea, what a Fantastic offer.
Only problem is Ikea always brings out the worst in our family. So maybe not such a good idea for me.

    Xmas Saver!
so, maybe buy the kitchen a week earlier, to make sure I get everything, then buy it again on the 19th, and return with orig receipt. ooh no, forgot that could be classed as illegal, so won't do that then.

have to be there early, but only live 10 mins away.....

Heya guys, I work at IKEA so I thought I would just fill you guys in with all the info.

    Date: 19th April
    Time: 6am - 12:00am (midnight!)
Location: All UK IKEA stores ( Excluding online )

As the OP said, it is celebrating 21 years in the UK for IKEA.
All stores will have as much stock in as they can possibly fit. There will also be vans and trucks outside filled with large pieces of self-serve stock (sofa's etc) to ensure that there is enough stock to last the day.

It is one day only and there is a different day for staff where they will recieve a whopping 36% off everything..

Your sums are wrong though - 21% off THEN 15% off is NOT 36% off, it's 32.85%, but it's still good.

Don't forget you have to be out of uniform to use your discount
I didn't do it, nobody saw me do it, you can't prove a thing! ;)

SO presumably, you could go in and sort out exactly what you want in your kitchen order - get it written down then go in and pay for it on the 19th - and then get it delivered another day but still get the 21% off?
