Ikea are expecting massive demand in kitchens, so will be issuing `vouchers` for those that cannot get the whole design/buying process completed on the day - those with the `vouchers`can return again on another day (when its not so busy) and complete the kithen buying process.....my mole tells me that if your kitchen is in stock then you can take it home when you purchase it. Please bear in mind that not all kitchens and worktops are held in stock - some are only available to be ordered & paid for in store to be delivered at a later date.
The kids creche will be open all day and the reason all the stores are open 6am till midnight is to try and ease the congestion. If customers shopping behavior is near normal my mole says either visit early or latere in the day.
And what ever you do - dont try to get in between mid day and 6pm...it will be too busy!

    Hope this helps

When you say the kids creche will be open all day does this include around 7am in the morning? :D we have lists of items we want but will have 2 children in tow, one is 5 and the other 10 months old so she isn't likely to get bored but my 5yr old will :|

    Xmas Saver!
Heard a "rumour" (cough cough) that 6am to 8am only IKEA family members will be able to enter store/make a purchase. Well worth knowing for any early starters......Get a card before the day.....and possibly random voucher giveaways as well.......

Sale is in the UK only. It's to celebrate 21 years since Ikea launched they're first UK store in Warrington and it looks to be a one day only sale.

And this store remains the most visitted building in the NW of England

Heya guys, I work at IKEA so I thought I would just fill you guys in with all the info.

    Date: 19th April
    Time: 6am - 12:00am (midnight!)
Location: All UK IKEA stores ( Excluding online )

As the OP said, it is celebrating 21 years in the UK for IKEA.
All stores will have as much stock in as they can possibly fit. There will also be vans and trucks outside filled with large pieces of self-serve stock (sofa's etc) to ensure that there is enough stock to last the day.

It is one day only and there is a different day for staff where they will recieve a whopping 36% off everything..

    Cally

haha ok it isn't 36% off for us employees..first take 21% then take 15%.. for example

    your way: 36% off £100 is £74
    whereas: 21% off first = £79.. then take 15% off = £67.15

I know which one i'd rather go with :)

Are kitchen appliances and the custom made worktops included ?? And, if we do not want to pick it up are we able to arrange for delivery or do we have to pick it up on the day??

Also, (sorry) if we are after a large amount of flooring and it is not in stock are we able to order it and have it delivered??

Has anyone joined the Ikea Family? I've just applied for the card, lots of benefits to be had from it by the sounds of it

Yes, we have a card and you do get so much off mailings depending upon what you spent last time. Also various others offers.
  • This is true and can confirm this is going to happen... its 6am until midnight

If Ikea sale runs on Saturday 19th April, be sure to get there as early as possible, Bristol Rovers are also playing at home, so traffic around M32 later in the day will be horrendous.... It's bad enough getting to Ikea but add all that footie traffic!!!!!
