Has anyone had any good news yet? I had a letter to say they'd filed my claim but nothing since. I'm not holding my breath

It did differ as it could be that the poster was posting some interesting stuff rather than rubbish.

It was far from the historical slanging matches.

As posted by me elsewhere...

There have been a number of posts removed relating to MSE users starting a group class action against this company.

This has been referred to the Forum Team for them to look at but please be aware that MSE is a private site owned by Martin and therefore he is legally responsible for any posts on MSE. From a post by Martin....

3. This is not a free speech public forum; it is a private site of which I am the publisher and am legally responsible for what's posted. That's the point; you say something offensive, contentious, libellous and if it's not deleted I'm in Court. That's why my abuse team are there to protect me. I choose my fights carefully versus the banks when necessary or big companies. I prefer not to have my fights chosen in the forum without my presence.

What has been posted is not offensive etc but by using MSE as a platform for a group class action then this may well involve Martin in any legal proceedings.

For these reasons I'm sure you will understand why these posts have been deleted and referred to the Forum Team. Please don't post further about this meantime.

Is there actually any chance of us getting our money back?

Probably not, but it's worth an e-mail, if not a stamp....

Begbies Traynor will charge for their admin time, so it is in their interests to get as many claims as possible, so they can charge as much as they can.

But I recall reading something waaaaaay back in the thread that there was over £1M as being listed in the company's bank account.

I'm afraid I'm not going to read the 145 pages of the thread to find out....

It was me that posted that the company had over £1m in their bank account. This figure was obtained from their last set of annual accounts filed at Companies House. I am pretty sure they would have cleared out their bank account before going into administration (probably paying the directors a big fat bonus with all our money!).

It is worth writing to Begbies Traynor with details of what you are owed in case there is any money or assets left in the company. They will split this among all the creditors - it could be that we will get nothing or something paltry like 2p for every pound owed but like someone else mentioned it is definitely worth the price of a stamp.
• So is this the third (or maybe more) thread started on TMO? Anyway, does anybody know what's happening with them at the moment? Their website has been down for a long time and I think they may be about to shut down operations and start up a new company. I've got a decree against them but don't want to waste money enforcing it on a bankrupt company. Ofcom really need to do something about this. The directors should be jailed. Someone here posted that they have over £1m in their bank accounts. That's £1m worth of consumers' money, with a high possibility of these consumers being on low incomes. These directors are sitting pretty with other people's money that doesn't belong to them. From the past history of these directors (run a company search) it is not the first time they have set up operations and gone bankrupt. THESE PEOPLE NEED TO GO TO JAIL.

There is another thread (nearly 3000 posts and nearly 150 pages) with lots of advice and info on the current situation:

http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=471112&page=147

You will see that the Board Guide locked it weeks ago to get the Forum Team to get the "chaf" sorted!

This is a great shame as lots of current and useful advice is in that thread.
• This is what I've done w.r.t the Mobile Outlet situation, I hope it helps some of you.

I have used MCOL for a claim and had a warrant issued but this has wasted my money (£55 for execution of warrant and £30 for Claim) because the warrant has been 'turned in' and will not be actioned due to the administration. I have registered my details with Begbies-Traynor and eagerly await my 20p payout...

I have contacted T-Mobile and aksed them to place me on a lower tariff (I am on Flext 35 at £35 a month and wanted Flext 25 at £20). At first they firmly said no. I then referred them to this website and the quoted position from T-Mobile. After a 10 minute hold they agreed to reduce my tariff to Flext 25 and I am only 5 months into contract.

Keep trying, it is worth your effort.

I've been trying to contact this company ever since as it's 7 months into the contract and I have not received one cashback voucher yet!

Also, I have noticed their contact number has changed but no one has been bothered to update it on their website...they have also changed their office location as my last caskback voucher was returned to me and the second complaints letter that I sent to their supposedly 'correct' address has been redirected to elsewhere.

This is what is currently on their website:

Customer Service Team
Tel 0870 1999 333 (option 2) - this is now an invalid number
Fax 0870 1991 222
customerservice@themobileoutlet.co.uk - their email doesn't work
www.themobileoutlet.co.uk

anyone else having similar problems with this company?!?!
