    Afternoon Everyone

Thanks for all the kind words yesterday. I'm pretty certain that there will be no more puddy cats at our house as it is just to upsetting.

I'm behind in a major way today but I just can't be bothered. DD's new car seat has just arrived and so we are going to test drive it by going to the park with a pond to feed the ducks. Shes is over the moon with it as it has pink flowers on it. I hope she still loves it in afew years as it cost a fortune and is her forever seat.

The post has just arrived and the tax is up on the car at the end of the month. £205 for 12 months that is going to hurt the budget. I'm really going to have to start savings for car issues.

    Have a good day everyone

hI JONNASMUM, I buy savings stamps from the post office for £5, I get one a week, they give you a little booklet to save them in, and when it comes to getting my car tax I just hand the booklet in, and its all paid for, its a much easier way to budget, saves paying it all out in one go.

Well back from the hairdresser, only had an inch off, so can't really notice much difference, but she has styled it beautifully :D , I have naturally curly hair, but when I do it it just turns to frizz, she has made it into ringlets, she showed me how to do it, but can't see me doing that of a morning when I leave here at 7.45:rolleyes: . Cost £33  good job its only once in a while.

My mum is on her way over for coffee, and she has got me some chocs :D will be scoffing them this arvo, before DD and OH come home :D

Just had a letter from the opticions saying that after all the fuss i have been through they will give me a 50% refund, I think thats the least they can do,this has been going on since early Jan, and I still have not got new glasses

well better put kettle on for mother xxx

    Hi to everyone
I have finally got around to posting as I not been on here for a while. I have had a few hours pottering around town, and found a few bargins in M&S. I got a pack of 7 boys Simpsons pants for £1, and some mini Darlek & Cybermen keyrings for £1 each.
I also got around to signing my will, so I am glad that is out of the way. I got home and walked my mum's dog, and then scoffed a a piece of coffee cake from the local WI/Country market:D .
Will now try and get some sorting out done before the afternoon school run. Hope you all have a good day. Powie

Good afternoon everyone, and thank you for the Birthday wishes. Chardonnay & Red Ruby - hope you are enjoying your days too.
    :bdaycake::bdaycake:

Went into work for 2.5 hours this morning, making up time from Monday. Gave me chance to pack up my desk ready for starting my new job on Monday. My team gave me some Amarillis and Gerbera flowers to wish me good luck. :lovethoug

Getting my hair cut this afternoon, and then out for tea this evening with DH and parents. Not sure whether my sister and husband are coming as apparently he broke his collarbone on Wednesday. I only found out today:o , from the people who work with my sister! Nice of my family to keep me informed....

Anyway, hope everyone has a good afternoon. Hugs if you want or need them - especially to Smokey at the moment. :grouphug:

    Hello all !

Lovely day, blue skies, sunshine and thankfully me and OH slept a lot better last night. OH very stiff this morning and still suffering, my back still giving the twinges so we're both taking it very easy...........no sense in turning the clock backwards is there. Housework can wait - our lad did say he'd hoover and do kitchen floor when he came back from work and showered the place with builders dust off his boots (he claims not to see this !) but quick phone call and he just had to rush off ! Obviously something of major importance -not ! He did shout as he flew through the door that he'd do it tomorrow........does tomorrow ever come ???? I've never known it to but -well, you never know.

Made some Easter cards so at least I felt I'd achieved something by the end of the morning. Don;t normally bother but there's some special folk I feel deserve one. A card's not much I know but a few words can sometimes say much more.

Just need to wait now for shopping to be delivered. Not much this week so hopefully we'll have saved a quid or several.

Happy Birthday to Ruby, Chardonnay and Metherer.

Have a good day all and hugs(((((((((((((:o ))))))))))) to those who need them

I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

    Afternoon everyone!

Happy Birthday RedRuby, Chardonnay and Metherer. :bdaycake::bdaycake::bdaycake:

Had a great day. Managed to pick up a pie maker on Freecycle. Collected that this morning, and have been talking about pie filling ideas at DH all day :D luckily he likes a pie. Guess what's on the menu plan this week

Then went into York and bought a copy of the Happy Hooker (steady, the crochet one :p ) with a book token that I had for Christmas and DS's world book day token :o Bought some lovely reduced-price craft items from Lakeland, using my reduced price vouchers (thanks again, Pen Pin :T ). Had lunch at a lovely cafe.

We're having an Indian takeaway for tea. Last week I was due to go out with my w*** colleagues using our lottery syndicate wins. I wasn't well, so was given the £21 in cash. Just enough for a takeaway and bottle of wine  DD is off to Italy skiing with her school tomorrow, so it'll be a nice way to see her off. We didn't have an event for DS's birthday last month, so we're taking 2 of his friends to the snozone tomorrow for an hour's skiing, then they're coming back for HM pizza, DVDs and sleepover.

Enjoy the rest of your day, Penny. x

Been to hospital with DD and the dr told us that the results were very interesting... Apparently her BP is high all the time apart from when she is asleep. It is normal when she is sleeping, however, if she is watching tv (at rest) or exercising it is high. So Dr is going to show results to another dr from another hospital who speciales in BP and cause & effects Before he decides what to do. At least the Dr says it is unlikely to be her scarred kidney that is causing the high BP because if it was her kidney it would be high even when she is sleeping. So fingers crossed that when we go back they will be able to pin point more what the cause could be and how best to treat it.
Hugs for all who need or want one.
