I'm ahead of schedule this morning for some reason. Beds are made, dishes done, washing on and fire cleaned out. So just the floors to do.
I've taken down the door curtains on the hall and landing and am trying to get to grips with my new sewing machine to take them up.
Tea will be minestrone soup and sun dried tomato and olive bread.i

    Have a good day everyone.

  • Morning all! (((hugs))) to anyone who needs them today

Happy Birthday to Redruby, Metherer and Chardonnay - hope you all enjoy your days.

Scuzz - hope you'll be happy in your new flat, i always liked living alone (well i had DD with me but she doesn't count) but now i have to share with a boy

PP - hope you feel better soon

Had a busy day yesterday, got almost everything on my list done and also managed to squeeze in the food shopping so i can take it easy today. I'm dying to have a clear out of stuff, the house just feels really cluttered but i'll have to wait until my sis can give me a hand because if i dare to do anything slightly strenuous i get told off :o

    *hold on phone ringing*

Just having my breakfast now, a cup of tea and 5 little jam teacakes *oops*, OH is still in bed but hes going up to the house later and him, his dad and brother are there this weekend so i've to keep them fed and watered. Think DD and I will just have a quiet weekend, do some baking, watch a dvd together etc. Certainly no money to go anywhere with the £30 on new shoes yesterday! Shes dead proud of them bless her :)

Anyway, i'll stop rambling now and let you all get on, have a good day all

    Morning all,

Very cold here, windy and there was heavy rain overnight, bright now but looks as if we will have some showers.

Off to visit a friend whose sister is visiting, then take DD2 to Argos, cook dinner, spend at least an hour organising my bedroom, bit of knitting and fall into bed.

PenPin, sorry you are feeling bad, take care

Smoky...hugs to you and your family

Happy Birthday Chardonnay, Ruby and Metherer:bdaycake::bdaycake::bdaycake: have a good day.

Hugs to all in need who have posted or to post

As for those of you who were playing hooky instead of going to bed last night, don't forget you need your beauty sleep..............:rotfl: :rotfl: :D

Armchair exercises this afternoon........they are fun if nothing else and we have a cuppa and a biccy afterwards...........a time to catch up with the gossip...............

Soak a piece of kitchen towel in vinegar and lay it over the taps - leave for half an hour and then rinse off.

    Redruby :bdaycake:

DH is about to hang the washing on the line outside for me. DD(19) is getting a lift back home for the weekend but wants to surprise her little sister so trying not to let it slip. Will need to get DH to give all three of us a lift tomorrow to buy clothes for DD(14) as she has had a growth spurt.

Might make stuffed mushrooms as a treat for tea .

Going to get my arm dressed later this afternoon - DH has been doing the dishes for two weeks so I do not get the bandages wet!:j

Can't remember who got loads of potatoes but there is a really nice recipe from Cranks called Homity pie- pastry case filled with a mixture of cooked potatoes(chopped), cooked onions and garlic with a little milk to bind it all and grated cheese on top. Baked for about 25 mins.

    Scuzz

So pleased about your new flat! :j Just wish we had a buyer for our house and could get ourselves sorted out.

Sorry the weather is too bad to go out but hope you feel a bit better soon.

  • Well, its my DS 11 birthday today, and instead of a party he wanted a sleepover, which is fine by me! So he is bringing 3 friends back from school with him tonight. He wanted a spongebob birthday cake, but after we looked at it in Tesco yesterday (£8.49 for a very small cake) we headed over to the freezer section where we got a chocolate gateaux and a strawberry gateaux for £1 each! Kids can have a lot more to eat and it only cost £2 total! I also picked up some pizzas on special offer (99p instead of £2 odd each so £3 in total ) and BOGOF on Tesco finest potato wedges (£1.50) followed by Tesco icecream £1.60 washed down with 3 bottles of pop for £1. Very pleased with myself as in the past I shudder to think of the amount I have spent on kids parties!
