Hi, please can I join this thread?
I started SW the week before last, but I've been poorly and couldn't attend last week's class and I won't be able to go tonight either!
There's no answer from my consultant's phone, so I can't arrange a sick absence for tonight.
Does anyone know a landline number for their head office, so I don't have to ring their expensive 0844 number?
Thanks a lot.0 -
Can't you email your consultant? I don't know a number, sorry. Welcome from me and hope you feel better soon, jay xxAnytime;)0

Hi and welcome :santa2:
I can only find the 0844 number, but thats charged at national rate (6p a min) so not anymore expensive as calling a local number at this time. hth:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Thanks Jay11 and nic2075.
Unfortunately I can't e-mail her, she only gives her phone number, but not her e-mail address. Plus the phone is usually on permanent answer phone, so you can't speak to her directly, but today there is no message facility - it just keeps ringing out.0 -
That's a shame, hope you get it sorted, jay, xxAnytime;)0

Hi, Thanks very much for your warm welcome!
Problem resolved!
I googled "SW landline number" but it didn't come up with anything useful. So I tried Saynoto 0870 (thanks Martin) and it gave the following number: 01773546360 (probably the same cost as the 0844 one, but free if you have mobile minutes)!
I rang and spoke to a friendly woman who gave me my consultant's e-mail address and mobile number, so now I can text her!
I thought it might come in handy for other SW members to know that if you call SW, they can give you extra info , if you need to miss a class for any reason.

Your Consultant should have given you all her details in your Food Optimising book (at the beginning of the weight log). I always put my landline, mobile and email numbers for every member should they need a chat midweek.
Welcome by the way, both to this thread and Slimming World in generalI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
I feel terrible.....have had all green days this week and I am now doubled over with stomach pains coz Im constipated! Must be bunged up with pasta!
I feel really bloated so no doubt I will put weight on this week. I am gutted, I have lost 13lb in 2 weeks, wanted the stone sticker this week!!!!!
Has anybody else found this with green days?
I just find them so much easier than red!
Definitely drink more water - it doesn't have to be cold, hot water with a slice of lemon is very refreshing and will almost certainly help you.
The bloatedness can affect some people who have a slight reaction to wheat. One way to tone it down a bit is to avoid white pasta and go for the wholewheat one. It's more expensive I know, but better for you and the extra fibre should help the 'unbunging' processI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Hiya consultant31 - thanks.
There's a label inside the front cover of the food optimising book, but it only gives the venue address, her first name and her landline number (the landline is on permanent answer phone). It's odd that today it just rings out - maybe there's a fault with it.
To be honest I was disappointed to not be given her e-mail adress, as most people do nowadays.
So glad that you give all your details and encourage midweek chats - that's great, well done!0 -

I feel that my problem at the moment is using my syns up at the weekend and then trying to go the rest of the week without any, to limit the damage I've done!
I need a new strategy!
This is why SW don't recommend you save your syns for the weekend. Going without any treats for several days on the trot is asking too much of your will-power.
Bingeing, whether it's on food or alcohol, is unhealthy and that's basically what happens when you have the bulk of your syns over a couple of days.
Try going back to basics and following the plan as it is intended. If you have a special event to go to, you can always use flexible syns (though perhaps not every weekend)
