In the cold weather i usually start the day with a cup of boiled water and a squeeze of lemon juice and half tsp of sweetener. Most mornings i dont feel like it, but it gets my fluid intake up and warms me up.I then have a cup of tea and aim for 1 litre of water usually throughout the day with meals. I agree totally that you dont feel like a glass of cold water during this weather, but if its with a meal i dont notice it. And sometimes my trat in the evenings is an options hot choc, even more liquid, you probably have more than you realise if you add it up.

We would have been lost without her :D its a real big shame the SF didnt work for her, but hopefully it was the break from SW she needed and she can now get back into her "zone"

  • Good Morning - hope all is well.:j Yesterday in class our consultant spoke to us about weigh in day and how most people have a few treats that they don't count after they get weighed. She said that it can interefere with your weight loss and while we can get away with it for awhile it can and will eventually slow down your weight loss. Realised what she said is true as I do tend to not count things on a Monday so am going to make more of an effort and see if it makes any difference!:o

Here is my plan for today:

Breakfast - oats so simple with frozen fruit and milk (heb+free+hea)

    snack - apple, satusuma, pear

Lunch - Leftover veggie and quorn rice from last night with a poached egg on top

snack - scan bran cakes - (heb+4 syns)

Dinner - SW quorn lasagna with lowfat mozzarella cheese with brocolli - (free+hea+free+6 syns for extra cheese)

Snack - custard to put on scan bran cakes - 6 syns

I did fine yesterday and made a point of not having anything extra just because it was Monday!

    Love
    Marion

morning  in one month it will be :xmastree: ..... sorry - had to get that in!!!

Do you weigh in and then go home and munch munch munch or do you still stick to the plan? Whats your typical post weigh in meal? I dont get in tilll about 8.15pm on weigh in night so whatever I eat, it has to be very quick to do or something easy that my OH can chuck in the oven for me so that its ready when I get in.

Also whilst we are on the subject, how do you cope with weekends? These are always my downfall despite my best intentions. Do you save up some syns so you can have a treat ?

I would also be interested on how you are planning on coping with xmas? I am determined to be a bit more restrained this year (this will be my second xmas on SW) particularly as I dont want to lose the weigh Ive put on recently over the next few weeks only to put it all back on again and more! over xmas!

    sorry for so many questions!!!

I've rearranged our habitual weekly menu, there are 2-3 meals we eat most weeks, (we vary the other 3-4). I've moved s/c bean casserole, which we all love, to SW night, because it's green friendly and can sit in the slowcooker, on low, for ages without spoiling. I can post the recipie if anyone wants it. We do similar on a couple of other nights when various family members have to be somewhere early or late. Some s/c meals, like soups/casseroles, which can be varied as needed, are great for that.

Weekends--I'm just getting my head around SW, but have decided to work out a 'daily syns allocation' of alcohol/nibbles, etc and save some of it until the weekend. I don't really like sugary foods so that works for me.

Thanks for mentioning Christmas, I hadn't thought about it, apart from deciding to buy more fruit and cheese, less chocolate/crackers/crisps. Your reminder will help me to plan in advance!

I'm still feeling positive after my disastrous first weekend, I'll know to plan ahead for the next one. Dreading weigh-in tonight, but looking forward to group, they seem lovely and friendly.

Have a good day all! Jay xx
    Anytime;)
