Early Breakfast = 2 cups of tea and Hi Fi bar Choc Orange (HEB)
Brunch/Late Breakfast = Scrambled eggs cooked with tiny pinch of salt, dash of milk, some chilli flakes, black pepper and some kalongi black onion seeds served with 400g tin of heinz beans with some smoked paprika stirred through and also served with closed cup mushrooms/chestnut mushrooms, couple of shallots and one chilli chopped up and fried in frylight. surprisingly very tasty and I cooked so much the beans almost fell of the plate. :rotfl:
Further breakfast of aldi muesli yogurt!!
I have to say Im rather full now!
Lunch will be a JP and SW tuna pouch (my other HEB for today) perhaps with 28g cheese (HEA)
or the corn and red pepper chowder from page 12 of the SW One Pot Wonders Cookbook.
Tea will either be:
pumpkin risotto (recipe from SW website) or jacket chips, quorn cracked black pepper fillets and poss. more beans
Pudding (if I need it!) will be further aldi muesli yogurt with some frozen fruit (defrosted first)
Does anyone have any tips of how best to chop up my pumpkin? I have no idea where to start?!
I also have a green and yellow coloured squash - not sure what to do with it but if you have any suggestions - let me know - thanks :-)
I would also recommend the Riverford website. not sure if im allowed to post weblinks but if you google the words Riverford Organic Vegetables, its one of the first results that comes up. Go to the website and click on the recipe section. Its really good because you type in the vegetable or fruit that you have to use and it gives you suggestions. Also the website Love Food Hate Waste0 -
Thanks for the Riverford idea, Flat Eric, brilliant recipe suggestions!

Hey all,
Weigh in tonight, fingers crossed I lose what I put on last week! Well I have decided that each week me and hubby are going to cook at least one proper recipe from Slimming World, and just to keep in his good books, one 'fatty recipe'.
So on Monday we did this recipe, CREAMY ASPARAGUS CARBONARA, it was quite nice really (even though hubby said 'where's the meat?):rotfl:.
CREAMY ASPARAGUS CARBONARA
SERVES 4
350g/12oz dried linguine or tagliatelle
400g/14oz asparagus tips
2 eggs
100g/4oz low-fat natural fromage frais
1 garlic clove, peeled and crushed
6 tbsp very finely chopped flat-leaf parsley
salt and freshly ground black pepper
fry light for spraying
Cook the pasta according to the packet instructions, drain and keep warm.
While the pasta is cooking, blanch the asparagus tips in a pan of lightly salted boiling water for 3 - 4 minutes, or until just tender. Drain and set aside.
In a mixing bowl beat the eggs lightly and add the froamge frais and garlic. Whisk until well combined and then stir in the chopped parsley. Season well.
Spary a large non-stick frying pan with Fry light and place over a medium-low heat. Add the spaghetti and asparagus to the pan and stir and cook for 2 - 3 minutes until hot. Ppour over the 'carbonara' sauce and gently heat through for 2 - 3 mintues until pasta is well coated. ( Do not allow to boil or the eggs will scramble.) Remove from the heat and serve immediately.
FREE ON BOTH DAYS
(I added some courgette to ours, plus 28g of cheese)

Hello
I've been an SW member on and off for more than 8 years. I'm now a target member after losing my baby weight last year. I've just discovered this thread so will pop in occasionally for tips - great idea!
Jolene - can your recipe really be free on both days if it has pasta in it or are you using some as a healthy extra?MSE Parent Club Member #1Yummy slummy mummy club member50% slummy, 50% mummy, 100% proudImogen born Boxing Day 2006Alex born 13 July 20090 -
Hi, can I join? Been trying to lose weight, well, forever. I joined SW last night, and am confused already. I think I'm going to do mainly green because we eat more vege than meat meals, but I tend to eat about 4 slices of bread a day, especially when we have HM veg soup (today). Obviously can't do that now, so I think I'm going to have to rethink my lunches I think. I'm not at all keen on pasta either so I'll buy some couscous.
Can't figure out how many syns or HE my usual wholegrain museli is either.
Does everyone find this confusing (and a big adjustment!) initially?
Jay xxAnytime;)0 -
Hi Jay - yes I agree, it can be confusing but you will soon get the hang of it. I have been to slimming world on and off for years and i still get confused now. If you go to group and ask lots of questions and chat amongst the group you will soon come to get a grip of it. I would only suggest that you follow the basic plan until you get used to it, Red days or Green days.
This thread is also brilliant for questions and ideas.
As for your museli - have a look ont he SW website and you should be able to find out if you can have it as a HE or as a syn (syns online button at top right of page).
Good luck. You can stand there and agonize........

Hello all,
Went to WI this morning (first one) and lost 6.5lb! Am absolutely shocked and flabergasted. Had to weigh myself twice just to make sure lol.
I know a lot is probably water but still I can feel a bit pleased hey?
Does anyone know how slimmer of the week works?
x0 -
Hi
I was wondering if anyone knows what the difference is between following SW when pregnant or not because I heard you can still follow the plan when preggers (although no-one can tell me how) and we are trying for a baby. I think the plan is amazing and I am eating so much more healthy than I was before so would be keen to continue if I do get my wish.
thanks in advance
eveie
we're trying for a baby too and i'm following the plan
sw is the only 'diet plan' mid wives will endorse

Slimmer of the week is if you've lost the most out of all the class and lost or maintained the week before AND stayed to class. Obviously it doesn't apply to your first week as a large loss is expected. WELL DONE! :T0
-
Hi scw - slimmer of the week works on the basis
Not to be your 1st weeks weigh in
Not to have put on weight the week before
Not to have been absent the week before
and if you are a shift worker there are rules something about half (not sure)0
