well there we go i did it, i had to lose 1.5 to get my stone and half award and i did it with 2lb to spare, yep i lost another 3.5lbs this week so am well chuffed, im just half a pound off my club 10 award which i will get next week..DFW red and green memberDoing my best to lose weight and save money0

I joined sw on oct 3rd but because my appendix decided to rupture I havn't been to class since as I have been recovering and not been able to drive.
I am going tomorrow am and am a bit confused.
After reading the book and trying to get my head around it, I just dont think I can do it..theres just not enough b's!!!
The last 6weeks I have had to have small meals and often with protein shakes to help me heal so have not folloed the plan so I am starting tomorrow properly.
I normally have porridge, love porridge so much so dont want to change that really. At lunch I had an egg sandwich but then for tea we had meat spag bol.....so i have had 3bs!!! I just can't figure out how I am going to be able to eat the things we as a family like (like spag bol, lasagne, shep pie etc) without having too many bs........ I have tried the quorn mince and its puke!
Im not a big fan of jacket potatoes, baked beans or salad so dunno what i am going to eat!
Please help, I have alot of weight to lose and want to get it right this time x
if you dont like quorn mince go for a shops own make Asda is much nicer than Quorn and so is tesco, try soaking it for a few hours in bovril mix to make it tastier.
go for wholewheat spaghetti and have that as a B choice and have loads of sauce.
good old roast dinners are excellent for green days, pile you plate hight with pots, sweetcorn, parsnips and free veg and measured amount of meat, YUM YUM.
you can get round it just tweak your meals and your off, you can do it we all have.

There is nothing you cant have on this plan, but you have to have it in moderation, you can have a lovely spag bol but on red you have loads of meat and little pasta and the opposite on green.
Without sounding mean, if you want this enough you will find a way, I would never eat cottage cheese if i was a size 8, but i'm not and until I am happy with my weight, i will. Dont get me wrong you do not have to eat rabbit food and typical diet food, but most of that stuff is free food, so I tend to stick with it as i can have as much as I please. Once you understand the plan you will find a way to adapt it to your lifestyle. I know many people do but my family do not eat what I eat, I have 4 children and a picky husband and I cook for them, then for me seperate and that works well for me.
Read the books through, and read the magazines and get yourself a meal plan made out, it may take you a while but once its done you can follow that with a few tweaks until you are familiar enough with the plan. Good luck and keep an eye on this thread there is a lot of help and many brilliant ideas here to help you along the way.You can stand there and agonize........

Well done on losses - I have my first wi tomorrow morning and I am bricking it for some reason. Argh I just want to get it out the way. I hope I loose something even if its only a pound. Would be so disheartened if I didnt. Positive Thinking I need!0 -
Northern Lass well done, your weight loss is brilliant hun, you are doing really well.
Peggin, you can do it. I don't like veg, I don't like cheese, I don't like milk, in fact there are a lot of things I don't like lol but I have to make changes to help me. There is no reason why you cant have everything you want it is just about moderation. Like has already mentioned you can have the same meals either day like spag bol but just have different quantities.You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

I understand what you mean but keep with it & read & digest the book. It does take adjusting to but you will get there.
I found it tricky at first but once you get your head around it it is simple.
You will have to plan & prepare & think about the meals you really like & how to fit them in. You will have to make changes if not you it won't work.
For example my consultant used to bang on about original days & roast dinners (loads of meat,free veg ,heb pots)
but when i thought about my roasts what bits did i really enjoy ? syn free roasties( i've now converted fiancee;) )roast parsnips with honey (1 syn) mushy peas, cabbage & cauli nearly free on a green day. (gravy & yorkies syns)
For me its better to have green & take the meat as a Heb.(you get quite a lot of meat really!)
I have to have one heb for breakfast. So i have to choose a Free lunch ( jkt pot/beans or pasta n sce or mugshot & lots of fruit.
As one of the other lovely people on here suggested look on here for ideas & recipes i don't think you will find a more supportive bunch.

I amazingly lost 2lbs tonight (Despite going to Bella Italia sat night).
Thats 1/2 stone in 3 weeks:D
Thats really good for me. Its not my 1st,2nd or 3rd attempt at this.
Normally i only lose 1/2lb at a time.
The only thing i've done differently is eat more fruit,so i'll try & keep that up.
