    I'm full of questions today!

Does anyone know how many syns are in Skinny Cow chocolate brownie ice cream? I've just had a small ramekin sized amount and wondered how naughty it is?

I'm sure I was told at my class that if you miss any of your HEA/B's for the day that the ones you've eaten would be classed as syn values (poss 6 or 7?). quote]

Does anyone know if this is the case?

I can not drink milk and often dont feel like lots of cheese....any advice would be appreciated

I've never heard this, it's probably one of those 'Chinese whispers' things where a fact gets messed up by being repeated too often :D

However, it really is important to get your HEs every day and if you can't face milk it's quite easy to grate 28gms cheese and add it to almost any meal from a jacket potato to a plate of pasta on a green day to making a sauce to go with your meat and veg on a red day.
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

    Hi Guys,

Just thought I would pop on and introduce myself... I did SW back in 2005 and lost some weight but then I stopped going and put the weight back on. I've decided I both need to and want to rejoin and lose weight as I have a fair few health problems and at 21 years old my weight is not helping.

    Here goes......

My name is Dani I am 21 years old. I am 6ft2 and weigh approx 25 stone. (I will find out for sure on Thursday when I go to my first class). I have decided to buy a countdown course as I know if I invest in it I will stick with it. My gran will be coming as well as she also wants to lose weight, she is 5ft2 and weighs 11st 5lb. She is only just getting the hang of computers so if you don't mind I will be posting her results with mine as well.

We have decided to put away a £ for every lb we lose in a tin and then buy ourselves something nice with what we have saved. My grandad has also said that if I manage to lose 3 stone by the end of February 2009 then he will pay for me to go to Australia with them next Xmas, which is a great incentive..

i know what youre saying but if you make sure you have a whole HB choice then it is classed as a HB choice you should have the other one but its not the end of the world if you dont. its more for health reassons than anything else. if you only have half a HB choice then it should be synned.
Same with HA choices, if you only have 2 splashes of milk from your HA choice then it should be synned, and dont forget you only need to choose 1 HA choice.
this is what we were told just last week at group. hope that has made sense.

Good Luck Dani, I hope it really helps, I have got a 12 week countdown from my doctors, do they run this scheme in your area might be worth asking. Good luck and welcome to the forum

Thanks nic, yes it is me doing SF. Thanks for that - I can't get to a Boots now (only at weekends) but Asda have also got tubs on offer (2 for £7) and the smoothies too - but I don't like the texture of smoothies! Appreciate your post though, thanks!

It was my class consultant that first told the class about using both HEB's otherwise they count as syns but it could have come from the fact of going over/not using a full one would then be a syn. I try to use both of them if I can.

I also asked about splitting a HB. For example, if I only want one slice of bread can I do that with half the amount of HB tuna etc... but the answer was no LOL...
