can someone help me work out what syns to count, thanks
I am having M&S lemon sole, lightly dusted. It is 11.5 syns on green day, which I am on. Can i reduce some of those syns by counting the fish as a HEB?

nano - how about a nice bit of steak with a HEb of potato wedges and your fave veg? Or a stirfry with a chicken breast stuffed with garlic quark and warpped in bacon? Cooked breakfast style dinner?Depends what you like really?
Pennylane - those weeks where the others lost and they've been eating and drinking carp WILL catch up with them, so you can be smug in the knowledge that what you're doing works. I've never stayed to the new class I moved to because I don't have the time. The consultant is soooo high pitched and sooo hyper she gives me a headache anyway and doesn't have time for individual help. However the discipline of going there to get weighed generally helps me stay on the straight and narrow as I don't have much willpower myself!
Fluffynit - Icounted the whole syns when I had that from M&S but in hindsight I guess you could take off 6 for the fish part!
jess - good luck and your boyfriends promise sounds good - make sure he sticks with it.
I'm STARVING, can't have anything to eat until dinner and OH won't be home until possibly 9pm! :eek:Ah well!

Has anyone got any suggestions for a red day friday night treat which I can shop for tommorrow after a very very long week at work.
Long weeks at work can grind you down... <hugs>
Depends what *you* consider would be a treat.... some red day ideas:
steak and SW chips (skins on = HB), grilled tomato and mushrooms.
salmon with new potatoes (HB) and free veg
lean mince beef, copped onion and herbs shaped into a burger, bacon on top (+cheese HA) with SW chips (skin on =HB) could even have a bun (w/m bap HB)
cottage pie made either with a B of mashed potato or sliced pots laid over the top or mashed swede/squash etc, lots of veg
liver and bacon with new potatoes (HB), green veg and gravy (syns)0 -

You know the routine Catt - WATER!!! (or tea, or diet coke or squash) or more water - might take the edge off it :rolleyes:0 -
I can't drink any more liquid! Its all I have every day until dinner! I did have a glass of SF squash and fell for a Mullerlight (it's allowed as one of my 100cal 'snacks') I'm allowed three snacks a day but trying to do without! But today's an emergency!

There used to be loads of us who stayed behind every week for the "talk" after WI but more and more weigh in and go home.
I am sure I sound a real Moaning Minnie but the class is definitely dwindling because once people don't stay for the talk, as the weeks go by they think that it's a waste of time and money paying to just go and stand on the scales. I keep think the consultant will "twig" what's going on but she never seems to.
You could be in my group
I've been putting the dwindling numbers down to the credit crunch but for the last 4 weeks the numbers have dropped alarmingly. In all the years I've been a Consultant, I've never had such poor attendance. It's awful for the regulars who are committed, because once the class becomes so small, we lose the 'buzz' that makes it such fun.
If you've any good ideas to make people come (and stay), please share them. It's not a case of not 'twigging', it's more a case of 'what do I do?'I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
I think the trick is not to pile height wise because even if the food is on the plate within your one third section but 10 centimetres high, thats defeating the object!!!!!
Hmm, yes, I forgot to mention that there should be no building of towers in Success Express. However, if you want seconds that's fine - as long as you have them in the exact same proportion as your first plateful.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0
