Welcome back Kelly, return to the fold from the Dark Side!! :rotfl: Hello newbies, this place is great, it always makes me smile when I'm feeling a bit fed up after WI. Thanks Flat Eric for that brilliant poem, would you mind if I take it to my group next week? I know people there will love it, and will help them through.
You're so very special, I wish I was special

I remember you mentioning summat about a new type of pill you're on now?Different pills really can make a big big difference to your appetite, metabolism and insulin resistance (due to altering levels of hormones) so it may be worth mentioning it to your doc next time you're there?

Well done on your maintain btw:D :T

I did think about my pill Kelly, but I've been on it nearly 12months, and was doing ok until April/May so don't think it can be that, but I will mention it when I see the nurse next time (the one I saw for my last repeat had just started SW too so she might be sympathetic!)

    C xx
  • :T Thanks everyone for you're advice on my half pound loss, I now can see that its not bad at all but really good. I'm doing the diet on my own from home as I joined last year and got all the information but work commitments mean I can't attend classes. I've just bought three SW recipe books and tried a couple of the meals like Chicken Tikka Masala which was delish!
I hope to keep reading this thread as you all seem very supportive to one another and reading your replies to my post has made me feel much better than I did this morning when I weighed myself.
    Thanks again everyone, Lisa.

this is just to say that after my weigh in tonight where I lost a pound (yay :D), I have hidden my scales at home in the airing cupboard. I weigh myself far too many times so Ive put them away in the hope that I can only weigh again next week at class. Im making this public so if I waiver, I will have to report it here!!

incidentally the new SW mag is out and its FAB FAB FAB :j:j:j I am already eyeing up the baileys mocha syllabub, and the fig pavlova.

plus the lamb rogan josh, the spinach and tomato lasagne and the beef goulash all taking my fancy. I am going to be a busy bee

With Mr T delivering all my yummy veggies tomorrow, Im hoping to have a really good week and am even contemplating making soup tomorrow !! (im not the best cook!)
  • Hi all,

welcome newbies , and **welcome back Kelly** :j we had to give you a chance to live 'the other way'.... but glad you are back :D

I was a bit pleased tonight as I lost 1 and 1/2 lb  I think that my fast forward week started it moving for me again. I am still increasing my vegies by at least 1 portion per meal, three meals a day :p and I wonder if this has made the difference ?? Anyway, who cares why, but it is working for me.

Shocking news  is that as it is weigh in night, I am "helping" hubby finish a piece of chocolate fudge sponge layer pudding thingy from the fridge... it is better gone, and at least at the beginning of the week it should do less damage :D

    have a great week y'all :j

Good for you trying to kick the mid week weighing habit :A remember - you have to tell now if you step on.....

New mag!!???? Not fair  Just got back from class, and it wasn't there - if the recipes are great you have to share - a whole week for me to wait you know
