Must be quite an old one then as it says its syn free - was tomato puree ever free? Might see how much sauce it makes and drain the baked beans from some of their juice
lol - we didn't get the title!!! Then hows about you make it with a couple of tins of baked beans, adding less of the water - you can always add it in at a later point - might as well use the sauce on the beans to add more flavour rather than throw it away :rolleyes:0 -
Ah sorry about that! :rotfl: yes, I might try it with less water, thanks angie! I know a lot of people add chilli powder to normal baked beans so looking forward to this!0

It was me having the ravioli for lunch, and yes, it's the Tesco one I have. I do try not to eat processed/tinned food, but needs must, eh?
Have managed to keep the ravening hoards from eating all the stir fry with noodles that I made tonight (although it was super-yummy!) so I have leftovers for lunch tomorrow - yay!0 -
Thanks Angie,
I'll prob become a regular on here lol, Just going through my cupboards guys, what kind of things does everyone keep in? Am liking cooking all our meals from scratch, am scouring for some recipes though hehe :rotfl:
since joining SW, these are my stock cupboard favourites:
soy sauce
jar of vecon (purchase from holland and barrett or similiar health food shop)
jar of beef bovril
jar of chicken bovril
worcestershire sauce
heinz mean beanz, italian, mexican, sweet chilli and smoky bbq
plenty of noodles
batchelors rice
eggs
mullerlights
quark
fry light
various quorn products (which are either low syn or superfree :T
sainsburys smoked bacon medalions (free on red)
morrisons eat smart sausages (Free on red)
amongst other things.....
when I did my first big food shop after joining SW, i got a bit roll of white labels, sat down with the food directory/ my pc and labeled all the foods up so that when I then grabbed them from the cupboard weeks later, i knew exactly how many syns I was letting myself in for!
Ive recently had another sort out of my cupboards and now have two shelves which have my sw friendly food - I will be doing this with my freezer soon as well.0 -
can anyone help me, i have a very sweet tooth and have managed so far by making the slimming world cheesecakes, but as it is getting colder i fancy a hot pud, preferably chocolate! does anyone have a recipe for a hot pudding. thank you
have you looked at the slimming world deserts cookbook? also the 100 comforts book. check out the SW mag also because as it gets colder, they are no doubt going to print some very yummy warming pudding recipes :-) i get very excited when I go to class and theres a new magazine :j
ive seen somewhere a bread pudding which I think had orange or something in it but Im sure you could customise it and put some choc chips in which if you were sharing between four of you say, wouldnt amount to many syns. I will try and remember where I saw it.
The lifeline online site is also really good. they have plenty of recipes on there. there was a ten ways with apples feature back along - that had an apple crumble recipe I think.
Some of our members have very slowly heated the mullerlight banana and custard yogurt up.... you could try that perhaps. Im quite partial to a piece of mcvities ginger cake but you dont get much for 28g which is quite a few syns.0
