  • Thanks Angie. I know, weighing midweek is bad, but it used to keep me really motivated. I haven't done it for a few weeks now and I'm not sure I'm glad I did this week!

Water is a really good point. I'll make sure I drink more. FF isn't something I know anything about. I only really know the green plan as I am veggie so red and mix2max is no good for me.

Is there somewhere you can direct me to have a read about it? Or have I missed it on the SW site?

    :o I midweek weigh too :o

I used to think I drank a lot of water, but this week has shown me that I don't - but should! Try it just for a few days, and you might not stop ;)

FF is a last ditch, super hard, weigh everything nightmare:eek: In the bumph it describes itself as the diet equivalent of a straightjacket!!! Nothing is 'free' everything is weighed, and nothing goes into your mouth unless it is agreed in advance! It was offered to me by my consultant (that is the ONLY place you will get the official information) since I have been on the plan for a while 5 months) and was being good :A but maintaining for the last 6 weeks...... it was FF or no more SW for me. I am glad I have done it, I have learnt loads, I am sure I have lost weight, but I am really looking forward to Tuesday evening (after weigh in ;) ) which is the END of my FF week :T

Tesco's own ravioli is free on green (not the cheese, or anything else, just plain ravioli) its in a purple tin and is yummy.

I've got a receipe for baked bean tikka masala (probably from here) but it doesn't tell me how many beans to put in! One can, half, two??? Anyone know?

Hello All - Im new to forums and posting but wondered if I could join your SW Thread - I have been going for 3 weeks as my best mate took over running a group - So far I have lost 7Lbs but still have 8 stone to go!!!!

Welcome ktb - forums are fun once you get the hang of them, and this one is as friendly as you get :j . That's a great loss so far - what day is your weigh in?
  • Hi Nearly 30 - what supermarkets are you able to get to, many have own brand equivalents.... also, does it ***have*** to be toffee, or are other flavours a possibility?

That's a new one on me!!! I wouldn't imagine it makes a huge amount of difference - do you know how many it serves? If you (can be bothered to) post the recipe we could have a guess based on the amount of spices....

Hi Everyone, Bit of a newbie to SW here,
Joined 2 weeks ago and had my first weigh in on Wed, 2nd one coming up fast,
Lost 1.5 pounds last week so am trying to aim for 2lb a week, is that a good weight loss?? I didnt want to burn out by shockin my system but now that all the bad (fatty really lol) food is out, and the good syn free and low syns are in Im hoping to get good momentum going,
Does anyone have any good hints and tips I can try? Im gonna go read through some of the pages on here to get an idea of things...
Hope to get to know some of you,
    Laura x :T

    Hi Laura!

1 to 2 lb a week is a great weight loss - nice and steady, yet you will see results! Also by coming off at that speed, it should stay off!:j

The hints and tips we often mention are fill up on free foods, drink plenty of water, weigh (not guess) your a's and b's and write it all down for the first 4 weeks - after that you don't need to, but we all do once in a while just to check we are on track!

Keep posting - its always good to hear what people are eating, and if you have any new recipe ideas!
