  • reading nadines threads reminded me of a few things.

i joined sw once, just to get the books and go it alone, i did ok, but fell off track very quickly, i then re joined and havent looked back, i love the meeting and the people there

as for paying, my hubby pays if i lose, if i sts or gain (of which i have had 2 in 2wks) he doesnt pay and only pays when i get back to my lowest - i actually pay for count downs, heehee, so when he pays also pays for my mags and any books i fancy, lol

Hmmm, see I'm not keen on Ryvita mini's. I'll just about eat those new Limbo's but they're very dry. Was hoping for a fruit digestive type of texture
  • Consultant31 - congrats on the grandson - lovely news.

i put on a pound today. Made some butternut squash soup from the website but it was revolting - way too sweet.

    Having chicken chilli tonight.
  • hi all,

i am currently considering rejoining slimming world. I used it before and lost 2 1/2 stone to slim into my wedding dress. since then i have been naughty and the weight has come back on again. I need some motivation to make me do it, but i can't think of anything, does anyone have any ideas?
  • cant wait for my weigh in on thursday, this is my first week although i have done sw before 3 times, once before i got married and again after ds1 and ds2 were born, so i know it works for me. i havent a huge amount to lose but my actual diet was appauling, when i could be bothered to eat it would be utter rubbish!

am enjoying eating nice healthy food again and have tried to drink plenty of water too.... day 5 nearly over:)

breakfast/lunch: 57g wholemeal roll with bacon mushrooms and an egg, 1tsp ketchup

dinner: jacket potato cottage cheese and ham

snacks: so far.....banana and alpen light bar

still have a hea to use so may take that as triangles and have with my ryvita minis later this evening if im still hungry....pudding will be strawberries and vlf yoghurt:D

total expected syns for today: 8.5:)

  • Hi all!

My last red day before we start a week of green - we like doing this week of each, means we can plan properly and now have almost no food wasted :money:

Today then for lunch we had a gammon and egg salad! I grilled the gammon and cut it into strips, and soft boiled some eggs - all delicious on a bed of mixed salad! dressed with a mix of ff fromage frais/ff vinaigrette

Tonight will be left over roast chicken (cold) with a double HEB of slimming world chips :D

I even have made a pudding - DD had a friend over, so for them I made individual raspberry mousses - (SF jelly and natural yog) served with a squirt of cream and some fresh raspberries. Thing was, I made 3 and there seems to be one left:j As SF jelly is 2 per packet, and the yog is free, this comes out at (just less than!) 1syn - hurrah!
  • evening all!

I tried calling the consultant at the meeting I was gonna go to but couldnt get hold of her, so id like to post my menu here if someone could have a peek at it for me please

    breakfast : 2 quorn sausages
    1 egg scrambled
    half a tin spaggeti hoops

lunch: baked potato with quark & 28g cheddar (HexA)
    lettuce in vinegarette
    bowl of melon

    2 x alpen lights (HexB)

    dinner : vege chilli
    brown rice
    toffee mullerlight

munchies for later : 2 weetabix (HexB) , 350ml skimmed milk (HexA), and a creme egg twister(anyone know the syns for this?)

Also have bought some ribena really light diluting juice - is this free?

So what do yous think? am eating too much lol? when I done sw before i was always eating and snacking on lf noodles and pasta and sauce and i was loosing 3lbs a week:eek: lol!

any feedback would be much appreciated
  • That looks like a great green day menu miss nadine! If you are hungry, then you aren't eating enough, if you are stuffed and feel uncomfortable, then you are eating too much :D

Was the vinagraitte fat free or have you synned it?

I think the ribena you mention is fine - it is sugar free (my DD drinks it and she is type 1 diabetic), so sure it fits with the plan

Wouldn't have a clue about the twister thingy though!
