Chin up flat eric - you could try and go it alone if class is not so much fun and come here instead!
i'm feeling a bit fat today - no reason why i should (have stuck to the plan) but the trousers i had on this morning were a bit snug and uncomfortable. I've changed into jogging bottoms now as i am working on the floor making curtains but.... Really i would just like ot drop half a stone over night (but wouldn't we all!!)
i have some beef to make a stew tonight so i guess it'll have to be a red day.
Any ideas for red lunches?
Hello. thank you for your reply. I have a countdown at present so i am going to decide whether to continue with classses after that has finished.
I struggle with red lunches. and I cant think of many  A favourite red lunch of mine however is 2 slices of bread (HEB) spread with extra light laughing cow triangles (HEA), sainsburys bacon medalions (free), lettice and sweet chilli sauce (syn). Eaten with a packet of pom bears makes the perfect lunch
Most days if I am having a red evening meal, I treat the day as a mix to match because I can have jackets and beans for a green lunch which is totally free and then whatever I have planned for my evening meal.0 -
K1rkyc - I believe fresh egg noodles will be low syn on green - dried are free. I will try to have a look for you.
Insincere - so you had nothing but salad, frut & veg (and milk n cheese?) no potato's pasta or anything? Can you give me a few ideas what you had for brekkie, lunch and dinner? Might try a few days of this - 7lbs is an amazing loss - I'd be over the moonwith half of that!
This week I'm trying mainly red days instead of my usual default green - going well so far! :j
BUT CAN ANYONE HELP! I want to make a shepherds pie (lean lamb mince) but with Swede topping. I've peeled the Swede - but can't cut it! Its in a bowl of water at the mo with the knife stuck in it as I can't get it out and want to stop it going brown! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: How do you chop it into bits for boiling and mashing???????????0 -
Flat Eric - my red lucnhes are omlette, cooked breakfast, beef curry (made in batches in the SC), cottage cheese wrapped in slices of ham, chicken and bacon sarnie, egg sarnie, devilled hard boiled eggs, salad bowls from Morrisons
, leftover shepherds pie and swede (if I cen get the knife out). But many of these depend whether you're home or not or if you have a microwave. When I was unable to get home I lived on salad boxes with prawns and gherkins (no mayo)!

lo_bush, have a lovely holiday - weymouth is very nice if you avoid the tacky shops. i used to live in Bridport and love that stretch of coast along Chesil Beach. if you have little kids the Sealife centre is lovely.
the idea of super free weeks is a great one - would be terribly healthy for a short time. i'm always a bit confused by mix to match - Frankly I'm not loosing huge amounts on the regular plans so probably best not to try anything too complicated!
BtW, i had a tuna salad sarnie for lunch in the end - synned mayo i'm afraid0 -

Cat,take the swede out of the water and dry it as best yiu can then wrap it in a tea towel, hold the knife with a tea towel and waggle it.Don't try to pull it or push it just waggle it until it feels loose enough to pull gently and firmly with the tea towel. It should work!
You could try cooking the swede, whole,in the micro for about 10 minutes.Apparently it really works!Might help save your fingers.:D:T:jHalf a stone off, only another 2 to go!:j:T:D;)Cats are truly evil, like women....;):D:p

Anything else I could have? Did you have ANY syns insincere?

Skint_catt - thanks
regarding yr swede question - wrap it up, as suggested, and then hold the knife and bang it on the floor!! They are a !!!!! to cut sometimes - I try and cut them as small as poss and always buy half swedes in the supermarket. Good luck!

I've got to say I'm quite good these days about not weighing myself obsessively but after my 1/2 lb gain and being really bloated yesterday,I woke up today 'looking' about 3 lbs lighter (to my eyes!) and guess what?!I was!I knew it was only bloat so feel much happier now!:T:T:jHalf a stone off, only another 2 to go!:j:T

Hello all
Weigh-in today and I am pleased to report that I've lost 4 lb this week :j
Really chuffed with that. I expect I'll be down to 1 - 2 lb a week from now on, which is what normally happens, but as long as it goes down I don't mind.
Thanks for all the support, you've been fab. It makes such a difference knowing we're all here for the same thing.
Cheers
