2.5 pounds gain last night - not too bad seeing as I was in spain eating and drinking loads for a week!
3 pounds loss next week is my aim :-) well done to all those who lost!0 -
I have vile periods but can't imagine taking something like this. I feel as though I need to have my period in order for all the build-up to drain away. Can you take this all the time and forever if need be?
Sorry to drift off subject! I thought that was what you meant by a star week but I'd never heard it called that before! I didn't realise SW took that into account!
My periods were never that bad but because I'm overweight they didn't want me to keep taking Marvelon (my original pill) as there are associated problems with it (DVT etc). I wasn't happy at first and felt very unsure without the 'confirmation' of a period and a pill break, but I love it now! I'm guessing you can take most pills not forever and a day - not like years ago where you could only be on it for X years. There is no build-up to drain away as you don't have the cycle of ovulation.0 -

Hello. I'm back (if you'll have me) feeling rather ashamed of myself
.
Having falling off the Slimming World wagon in a spectacular fashion (after only 5 days of re-starting) I have now done my first complete week.
I lost 6 lb. :j
I have re-done my signature and see this as a fresh start.
I will be trying my very best from now on.
Cheers

Well done to all the amazing losers out there!!!
Chin up STS'ers and anyone who have had gains you are still trying and thats the main thing!
I've been pretty quiet since I went on holidays and can say thats coz my weight loss has been a bit rubbish.... (Sad I know!)
A couple of weeks ago I had a good loss and I got my club 10, followed that by a 1/2 lb loss but I weighed in, in the morning not the evening so knew that probably wasn't a real loss.
The next week I put on half a pound which was probably from the previous week but it meant I felt rubbish for two weeks.
This week I lost 2 lbs so feel back on track, have another 2lbs to lose till my 2St award and would love to get that this week but not going to hold my breath. I had a bad day on tues (not too bad but did go over my syns slightly) but have stayed on the wagon!0 -
Hi Everyone,
Please can someone advise me?
I joined SW last night and feel really good about it and hope this is something I will stick with (my willpower is terrible!)
Anyway... my question is: I bought a few recipe books and was wondering where the receipe gives the syn values etc, does the food you use have to be part of your food from your healthy options? eg honey and ginger chicken drumsticks are 3 1/2 syns on green but does the chicken have to be my healthy option or is as well as? Therefore on green could I have chicken as healthy extra AND the meal above as the syns?
Hope this makes sense as I'm getting myself all confused.
Thanks0 -
Hiya
The syn value of food is independent of healthy extras - so you can have a chicken drumstick as 3 1/2 syns without using any of your healthy extras, or you could have a healthy extra of chicken (b) AND your chicken drumstick (3 1/2 syns)
Hope that makes sense.0
