Well done catkid! How's your dd getting on or doesn't she weigh in?

She doesn't weigh in. She's 10 and while she will never be skinny I'd say she is just about right. Pretty much all the way up she has been 75% centile for both height and weight, so she is in proportion.

My main concern with her is that she sees me eating normally and well to deal with weight, rather than daft diets or just plain stopping eating. I want her to know that she can come to me if she's worried about her weight and learn a healthy way to deal with it. You hear so many stories about anorexia etc. that I want her to get the right sort of messages. And some of my dodgy days (like the tacos) are because I don't want her to feel like she's missing out, but also to learn that you can have your treats and just work around them.

Got my "star" week this week, so I don't know how things will go. It's also my first week back at work after the school holidays and I am mega busy and using gazillions of calories (I know we shouldn't think about them on SW, but I am using way more than usual) and I'm struggling to get back into an eating routine. I was absolutely starving by the time I got back from the school run today! Hopefully next week I'll be back into more of a routine and things can get back onto an even keel.

D'ya know, I'd forgotten about hormones! I don't have star weeks anymore due to the type of pill I'm on. Blimey I'd be a wreck if I had another hurdle to deal with!

Eat loads of free foods and drink plenty!

I lost 3½ lbs tonight at weigh in. :j Really pleased with that as last week gained 2lbs, felt very disheartened and nearly gave up.

  • Great loss Emma and CB - more inspiration for us all.

Had a good day today and will be doing my shopping tomorrow so i need to do some meal planning. i'm thinking of trying some more vegetarian/pulse dishes and intend to make a big pan of HM soup for lunches (I am getting so fed up of omlette!).
