    Hi guys

I joined slimming world 2 weeks ago.. it took me around a week to get into it & I still havent lost a 1lb at my 2nd weigh in!! arrghh I didnt cheat at all.

I think i've got the hang of it, on a general work day i would have

    Green day

28g fruit & fibre with he/a allowance of milk
Tea thoughout the day using allowance of milk
    mug shot - free
    Jacket spud & beans
    lots of fruit

    then dinner

quorn mince with chilli made from scratch with rice - all free
    muller light yogurt

I havent had much alchohol this week so maybe will loose some lb's!

Can anyone give me recipe ideas & info on how many syns they are pls.. I seem to prefer green days as I love pasta & potatoes!

My consultant is excellent and looked through my food diary & said I look to be doing it right.. but there's something there stopping me loosing & its frustrating!!!

Any advice will be huge help guys!! also I forgot the password.. please can someone PM me..

    Good Luck ;)

Please can someone tell me the syns for Total 2% yoghurt. They do a 150g pot and I seem to remember it being 1/2 a syn or was it 1 and 1/2.

    Many thanks.

It's 1/2 syn on both red and green.

Does anyone have the spinach lasagne recipe that's in one of the new books. I've bought the Fast Food food book his month, so trying not to buy any more. Anyone willing to share?

Thanks for that - have you tried it, its well lush!

    I made this yesterday.

1 pkt sugar free strawb jelly crystals with chopped up strawbs.
1 pkt sugar free strawb jelly crystals mixed with tub quark.

Note: A tin fell out of the cupboard knocking quark jelly in a jug all over worktops, and all over floor which incidentally I had just cleaned :rolleyes:

Luckily had 1 Muller Light Strawb and another jelly so mixed up another jug, carefully placing away from danger!!

Set first jelly. Then put second on top. Spread top of "trifle" with Total 2% then topped with slices strawberries. I like to save my syns for a little elmlea single cream - 1 syn per TBSP.

Well nice, but could have done without the quark disaster and I am going to have to try that again as it looked so much creamier than the ML with jelly.

So that would be approx 4 and a half sins, minus any added cream. Not bad - made a huge bowl. HTH Someone, anyone!:)

Mmm I remember making that when I was on Slimming World before!

After getting my hoiday photos back I was completely horrified and have decided to go back on the plan as it's the only one I can really get my head around.

I'll be trying all of these fabulous recipes you guys have posted. I'm actually looking forward to it now.... well maybe :rotfl:
Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not after you.:p

Hi, the jelly mix sounds great larmy16. Just a quick query, is there anywhere that gives what all the shorthand bits, (like HTH) stand for? (Its my age ..!)

our leader says we can have ONE cornbeef quiche during the week on a red day

ive done this since i started 18wk ago and never had a gain

    That sounds good

Is there a tried and tested quiche recipe you use? I made one, but the mixture was too runny and I had a vegetable sludge rather than quiche

Hi - we've just had homemade quiche for lunch.

Here's how I did mine today (it varies) This serves 4 with some over.

    6 eggs (beaten)
    6 slices unsmoked bacon (chopped)
6 slices wafer thin ham (chopped)
    1 Pepper (sliced)
    1 small courgette (sliced)
Few Spring onions or red onion (chopped)
    Salt & Pepper
    Herbs (Optional)
    Teaspoon mustard (optional)
    Few mushrooms (sliced)
500g Very low fat Cottage Cheese

Beat eggs, salt & Pepper and herbs together. Stir in mustard and Cottage Cheese.
Lightly fry (in Frylight) onions, courgettes, pepper, bacon & mushrooms.
Put into large flan dish with the ham. Pour egg mixture over and cook at 200 C for approx 30 mins. You can add sliced tomatoes to the top if you like before cooking. I like it best almost cool - so leave for at least an hour.

I went to an Italian restaurant last night and had tiramisu, which I love. I'm going to try and find a lower calorie recipe for one. If I do, I'll post it on here.
