    Hello everyone,

I've been lurking on this thread and just finished reading the other one and I was wondering if I could join you:o
Tomorrow is the last day of my first week, I've been doing it from home with my OH. So it's weighing in day for me tomorrow and for OH on Monday (he just had to finish some blueberry muffins and other  food:rotfl: )

I did Slimming World years ago and lost 5st 6lb in 9 months:j
However after stopping smoking and a devastating bereavement I put it all back on again:o

Now I find myself even heavier with approx 7 stone to lose in total. I had a baby 7 weeks ago today and I really need a little support for the weightloss.
You all seem so friendly in here.

Anyway I've tried quite a few recipes this week.

Cottage pie with swede mash topping
    Pasta quiche
    Vegetable curry
Syn free chips (with eggs, beans and mushrooms)
    Leek and potato soup

    All lovely :T

I'm after an easy recipe for beef curry  Has anybody got any ideas?

Well done on your weightlosses everyone :T

Welcome to the forum. Lovely to have you here. I have made the beef madras curry from the Slimming World Curry Cookbook. Its kind of easy although it takes 1 1/2 hours:eek: to cook so that might put you off! but once you have done the prep (about 20 mins?) its only actually stirring the curry in its pan every now and again for that 1 1/2 hours so not as bad as it seems....

The Slimming World saucy secrets cookbook is also a good source of inspiration but some of these I have been put off either because of the many ingridients or the time taken. My OH half makes the beef madras curry so its really easy for me as I just put my feet up :rotfl:

Flat Eric, how about a pile of roasted veggies? my fav is a mix of parsnips, carrots, sweede and beetroot, chop em, and roast them in the oven (as you would potatoes), you can add some spice if you fancy, to complement the lamb, but i never bother.

Just had a huge bowl of pasta salad , i put in spring onion , toms , rocket . sweetcorn , green lentils , pasta , and boiled an egg to put on top of it .
also added some capers , and made a dressing with natural youghurt , lemon , black pepper and salt and 1/2 teaspoon of dijon mustard .
it was delish and still have enough for another bowl for later .
free on green , but i think its 1/2 a syn for the mustard

I went to my interview yesterday and everything went wrong! I started off the day with no milk for cereal and only one museli bar in cupboard. So I took that, miss a bus... went back in to get a scarf.. missed another bus... ran up the road to a terminus for another bus and as I was half way up the road it appeared so I ran up the road against the WIND screaming  "wait, wait don't pull off!".

The driver gave me the strangest look and the TRAFFIC stopped to let me cross... that made me think "why?" . It was then I noticed my long hair was blowing around and my dress blowing up flashing my knickers over tights to keep them up and my kidneys warm:o . So I was struggling to run against the wind , head to the side arms blowing out to the side which made me look like I was playing Scarecrow Tig, my hair was blowing around like a bad 80's pop video, I was screaming like a banshee, my dress was being blown up like Marilyn Monroe with black tights and pants showing! NO WONDER I STOPPED TRAFFIC!:rotfl:

I got into town and half way through my interview they discovered a bomb and had to clear town! :(

well done soggy moggy, 1/4 pound is quarter of a lb, look at a bar of butter, ad thats the fat thats gone, maybe not a huge amount, but better out than in!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I went SW class there was a big blob of fat on the desk which represented 2lb wait loss. Every consultant has one. it is like two solid pints of jelly.

If you think of your loss as a quarter of that bolb it is impressive. Pick it up and feel it. I used to stick it up my jumper when I lost 2lb and walk about with it for a few mins, then take it back out and feel loads light and thinner. We should all have a blob at home!

Oh bless you!!!! Good thing both your tights and knickers were black though - knowing me 'd have been caught with red spotty knickers over torn nude tights! Worst thing is I usually wear thongs :o :rotfl:

Where was he bomb? What town are you in? Do you have to go back for the rest of the interview now?? (Good luck again if you do!)
