    well done nessa, thats fantastic!!!!!
were you very naughty or just a bit naughty, sometimes i think it helps to be a bit naughty, gives the body a shake up from too much healthy stuff!!!!!! (i'm sure thats not right, but thats my method of thinking)

Oh no, I was very naughty over the weekend

Went out with friends and had loadsa red wine and a curry on Saturday night,

Roast dinner on Sunday and my one weakness as far as chocolate is concerned - Half a box of After Eights over the weekend also.

I did try to be good the rest of the time, and I do, like your way of thinking

    ;)

Morning all, only lost a tiny bit this week, about 1/4 lb, nothing to write home about but at least it was going in the right direction!

well done soggy moggy, 1/4 pound is quarter of a lb, look at a bar of butter, ad thats the fat thats gone, maybe not a huge amount, but better out than in!!!!!!!!!!!!!

just back from doctors with dd, she has managed an outer and an inner ear infection in both ears     (no wonder she been up in the night) so in addition to the spray she got from emergency doctor, she now has tablets galore to take, but hopefully i might be in a for a good nights sleep. made me day though as the doctor said to me "your looking well, you've lost some weight haven't you?" :j :j :j :j :j :j :j feeling very pleased now and keep smiling!!!
  • Hello everyone,

I've been lurking on this thread and just finished reading the other one and I was wondering if I could join you:o
Tomorrow is the last day of my first week, I've been doing it from home with my OH. So it's weighing in day for me tomorrow and for OH on Monday (he just had to finish some blueberry muffins and other  food:rotfl: )

I did Slimming World years ago and lost 5st 6lb in 9 months:j
However after stopping smoking and a devastating bereavement I put it all back on again:o

Now I find myself even heavier with approx 7 stone to lose in total. I had a baby 7 weeks ago today and I really need a little support for the weightloss.
You all seem so friendly in here.

Anyway I've tried quite a few recipes this week.

Cottage pie with swede mash topping
    Pasta quiche
    Vegetable curry
Syn free chips (with eggs, beans and mushrooms)
    Leek and potato soup

    All lovely :T

I'm after an easy recipe for beef curry  Has anybody got any ideas?

Well done on your weightlosses everyone :T

welcome millymoomoo, your more than welcome to join us, you get great support here, everyone is helpful, and below is a chicken curry recipe from the sw website, which i do with quorn (as i'm not a meat eater) and don't see why it couldn't be done with beef, just bear in mind rice is no longer a HEB, but instead of rice try cauli mushed up, is just as nice

Preparation & cooking time: 1 hour 30 minutes plus marinating time

    subtitle_ingredients.gif 4 x 113g/4oz chicken breasts, skinned and boned
284ml/½ pint very low fat natural yogurt
    2 tsp turmeric
    3 garlic cloves, crushed
    2 large onions, sliced
426ml/¾ pint chicken stock made with Bovril
    3 cardamom pods
    1 x 2½cm/1in piece cinnamon stick
    4 black peppercorns
    4 cloves
    1 tsp crushed coriander seeds

    1 tsp ground cumin
    ½ tsp chilli powder
    salt and ground black pepper
2 tbsp chopped fresh coriander leaves

subtitle_method.gif1. Slice the chicken and place in a bowl. Mix together the yogurt, turmeric and garlic and pour over the chicken. Cover and leave to marinate in the refrigerator or a cool place for at least 4 hours (or overnight).

    2. Put the onion and chicken stock in a large, heavy saucepan. Cover the pan, bring to the boil and then boil for 10 minutes. Reduce the heat, uncover the pan and cook gently for 20 minutes, until the onion is tender, golden and syrupy.
