hi everyone, been away since last thursday, so just catching up with the thread. ive been really really naughty since last thursday, i went away for about 5 days, went to leicester stayed with family, met with friends.... BUT i ate out every single day . ive eaten out 6 times, in the past week!!!:eek::eek:. i dont normally do this, even when i wasnt dieting, it was just the way things turned out. eating out with family, then friends, then other family, then some other friends. it was like being on holiday especially with the weather being how it was. anyway, i didnt go to weigh in today, as i couldnt make it, but weighed myself at home, and according to the home scales, ive put on about 3lbs.

i was back on the straight and narrow this morning, also spent a couple of hours at the gym, so hopefully next week i will lose that gained weight. :p

well done to all the losers! and thanks for listening :)

How many syns is a mullier fruit corner?

It varies, but around 6 syns is normal.

Skint Catt - if the yoghurts are fat free they should also be syn free but I can't find the Actimel yogs only the Activia ones on the list.
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

I had the most delish dinner last night. I sliced up a load of potatoes and onions, and layered them alternate layers in a dish, frylight and seasoning on each later, cooked at a medium heat for a hour and added a small knob of butter (6 syns) and a HEa cheese on top for the last 10 minutes. It was gorgeous, especially on top of baked beans! I'm sure you could do it without the butter, I just fancied it!

On the subject of yoghurts, are there any cheapy ones that are low syn? Or does any one know of any special offers on mullerlights etc?

    Morning all,

Hope everyone is well, as always well done to losers and sts'ers! I lost three pounds this week and got my stone and a half reward :) Which cheered me up after my sts the previous week!

I know some people struggle for lunchs in work, yesterday when I was in tesco they have birds eye penne arribata, which is in the latest SW magazine for half prize 99p. Its free on green and is kept in the freezers I think it takes 4 minutes in the microwave, I put mine in the oven (35 mins) it was nice and I really wasn't in the mood to cook.

6 Syns! OMG! And I so love them. Would the syns be brought down if I just had the stawberry bit in a mullier light?

Thank goodness I didn't have one last night.

What other things like small trifles/yoghurts can I have besides mullier light that are 4-5 sys or less?

Mullier lights are either still buy one get one free or half price at Sainsburies. I got 6 when I was there (individual) at the weekend. Sorry can't remember which.

Yes they are so enjoy! :D

RebekahR - there are so many little puds it's almost impossible to give a list, but if you're looking for yoghurty ones which are free, you need to check that it says fat-free or very low fat not just 'low fat'.

A nice 'trifle' can be made using a Hi-Fi bar (or equivalent). Break up the bar, place into 2 small dishes, add some chopped fresh fruit of your choice and cover with a portion of sugar-free jelly (about ¼ which is ½ syn) and allow to set. You can add a 2 level tablespoons of aerosol cream just before eating for ½ syn. So, you have a 'trifle' for 1 syn plus a HEB. (If not using as a HEB the Hi-Fi is 6 syns).

For anyone who hasn't tried it (and I think I've mentioned it before) have a go at mixing 1 or 2 level teaspoons of lemon curd into a pot of 0% fat Greek yoghurt then crush a meringue nest and stir in - absolutely yummy and quite low syn (4 or 5 depending on how much lemon curd).
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

    Hi all
I'm wondering if you could help me out.
had my weigh in last night and it was only my 2nd week. 1st week lost a massive 5.5lbs :j :j I've only got about 1.5 st to loose so I thought I was onto a winner. Really good all week, netball twice, gym twice, no cheating, couple of G&T's in evenins as my Syns. Then went out for an "all dayer" on Saturday which had been planned months ago. Anyway, had mostly  G&T's but had 2 large wines, maybe 4 1/2's lager and a bit of pitta bread and humous with my Chicken Kebab at a Rukish restaurant (Red Day). I thought I'd been soooo good all week that I could cheat this little bit and at least maintain. Anyway I put on 2.5lbs!!!!! I find it gob smacking - before starting this diet, I would drink 1/2 larger a lot more often than that and eat badly all week and I can safely say at a size 12, I have not been putting on 2.5lbs a week!!! I can't believe that such a small amount of cheating put that back on me.
I'm now really bothered because I'm at a weddiing next Saturday and I will not be worring about whether I roast pots with my dinner on a red day and leaving all teh lovely food & champagne that my hosts have paid for but I can just see my coming in with 7lbs gain after this!! I am starting to feel I might have been better off this diet as I really can't afford to put weight on like this for what, to me anyway, is a bit of extra atthe weekend. After all, we aren't talking a chippy tea with white bread and pints of ale here!!
Has anyone got any ideas what else it might be? I've been msotly green days which again I don't understand because I've got male friends who work out a lot and train and they eat carbs just like I do on a Green day - Pots, pasta etc.

Can anyone help or even put my mind at rest?
    Thanks
