REBEKAH - I think as long as you're eating lots of fruit and veg,and drinking lots of water, then only having potatoes and bread shouldn't be too bad.I mean, most people I know seem to live on sandwiches and chips but don't have any fruit or veg so you're definately one step ahead of the competition!May I ask,why your o/h would object to you devoting 1 cupboard to your healthy eating? You wouldn't relly need to tell him.I'm sure he'll eventually find what he's looking for:D .I know my kids and fella do,no matter how well I try and hidethings from them!:rotfl:
Thank you. Does salad count towards your 5 a day? If so i'm doing over my 5 a day easily:rotfl: .And those on sammiches and crisps are they the slimming people? Ah 1 cupboard that I could get away with! I thought you were meaning every cupboard to organise lol.

Hi everyone, haven't been on in about 2 weeks as my internet was/is up the left. I'm writing this now quickly before it knocks off again!
WELL DONE EVERYONE!!
At my last weigh-in I had lost another 2 1/2 lb making my total loss 35 1/2lbs!!! I got my 2 1/2st award and I am over the moon!
Will really have to start exercising properly now tho, or I'll end up like a bag of skin........

Glad you're feeling brighter Lexa.
Not sure what meringue recipe you want but I get a box of meringue nests (2.5-3 syns each) and we all have a couple each for a quick dessert. I either put fresh strawbs or rasps in them and a blob of low fat creme fraiche or I mix a teaspoon of lemon curd into some low fat plain yoghourt (TOTAL 0% fat is lovely) or even quark.
I also roughly crush a meringue and add strawberry Muller yoghourt and that's like Eton Mess. Whatever you do with meringues you need to do it just before serving as they tend to disintegrate.
Another meringue thing - mix a teaspoon of Options drink with your low fat yog and spoon over a meringue.
Enjoy!!! :j
Oh golly! That is dangerous lol. Yummmmy. I never have any sins left. I always use them all in my main meals. Such as having an extra slice of bread and using margarine. And all the little things. No luxuaries for me!0 -
How is everyone getting on? I have just completed a very MSE AND SW friendly shop
. I had a fiver for food this week (just myself)... so I have meal planned and spent it at lidl - exactly a fiver! (I had a bit left after the essentials so bought choccie to use as syns - but mis-calculated and ended up telling the poor man on the till to put back a 20p tin of peas!!:rotfl:

Well at WI , I lost a pound this week, so that's fine with me. Having a red day with a thai red curry soup stir fry kind of thing tonight. I'd usually add noodles to the soup but will have to sin them. Any ideas for sins for red curry paste (I use very little as it's very hot) . The brand I have is not in the sins online (it's not a UK brand) so I need to do a guesstimate.
Mollygrub, here's the recipe for the curry:
Serves 4, free on green.
2 onions, sliced
2 garlic cloves, crushed
2.5 cm root ginger, grated
1-2 chillies, deseeded and finely chopped
454g fresh spinach
fry light
1 tsp each of turmeric, garam masala, coriander seeds, ground coriander and cumin seeds.
400g tin chopped tomatoes
400g tin chickpeas
S and P
2 tbsp chopped fresh coriander or mint
Fry the onions, garlic and giner in frylight for abou 5 mins over medium heat.
Add spices and chillies and cook for further 3 minutes
Stir in tomatoes and spinach and simmer gently for 5 mins (TIP: keep lid off or gets too watery)
Add chick peas and simmer for further 5-10 mins until spinach is wilted and tomato liquid is reduced.
Season to taste and stir in chopped coriander or mint.
Serve with rice!

Hello everyone!
I have been away on hols in France (the slimming did NOT go well!) however, before I went away, I fell over on a hen party and broke my flipping foot!! So I can't exercise, I can't drive and I can't get to meetings. I was hoping to cycle lots on holiday so I could eat nice food and drink wine. Instead I just ate and drank and didn't exercise
I haven't weighed myself in 3 weeks due to the weight of the cast, and being on hols, but I am sure I've put on the 6lbs I lost before hols.
Anyway, I hope everyone is doing far better than me! I am off to read my magazines, re-read my SW books and get some motivation to get started again. I am quite down about how huge I feel and look at the moment so I need to start going again. I feel so much better when I am actively doing something about my weight - it's more positive!
So, there we go! Good luck all x
ps: please would someone let me know the password? Thank you!)
