What about a big bowl of pasta and salad with a low fat dressing. you could make a dip and take cut carrot, cucumber etc. I think there are some recipes on the website.
Not sure of the password yet as it is weigh in later, but will pm you later. You're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -

How is everyone getting on? I have just completed a very MSE AND SW friendly shop
. I had a fiver for food this week (just myself)... so I have meal planned and spent it at lidl - exactly a fiver! (I had a bit left after the essentials so bought choccie to use as syns - but mis-calculated and ended up telling the poor man on the till to put back a 20p tin of peas!!:rotfl:
OMG how did you do a weeks worth of food for £5.00 (I am on my own as well) any ideas for meal plans for that greatly appreciated???

Hallo Everyone, and well done to everyone who's lost this week, esp. Moosetastic, 4.5lb is excellent!
I didn't go to WI yesterday as I was on a school trip with my daughter. Went to Joss Bay (near Margate). Had a great time and I even donned my wetsuit and did some surfing so that burnt off a few calories!
We're off on hols on Saturday so no WI next week either but I'm determined to get my 2.5 stone award when we get back.

Hi everyone:hello:
After a very long while away(at least 3 years) from Slimming world I have decided to have another go...
I lost 3 stone the first time so i'm hoping to repeat that success, as per usual all the weight i lost has piled back on over the years and i'm back where i startedargghhh so frustrating...
I'm trying to MS on grocery shopping as well at the moment so this will be a challenge in itself trying to get cheap, healthy meals - i'm hoping to get inspiration from you guys on this!!
I haven't read the whole thread - i'm starting to work my way through it - but i thought today's the day I need to get my will power sorted and make a start...!!!
I have a holiday coming up in the middle of August and i'm setting myself a goal of losing half a stone before then....
Good luck to everyone in their goals and I hope I can do as well as you all...

Well, some is stuff I have in cuboards @ home already, and its for a 5 day work week rather than 7 days, and its not the most varied diet for long term but for the odd skint week its not bad! Here is what I have done; I'm using some stock cupboard stuff, but it goes something like;
3 tins of baked beans @ 22p ea
2 tins spaghetti hoops @ 15p ea
bar of Dark chocolate 69p
cheapo brand weetabix (32 in box) 89p
granulated sweetener to have with that 69p (will last well longer than the week though)
Box of fake smash type mash 98p (4 foil bags inside, which do 2 portions each or 1 greedy portion and 1 snack later on!)
BOGOF batchelors rice in beef flavour 49p for 2
Meals -
Breakfasts - Weetabix with sweetener & milk (work provides the milk, I'm lucky) - picked my own wild rasberries last night so had them on this morning's one
Lunches - 2 x savoury rice with beans (whole tin), 1 x smash with beans, 1 x smash with spaghetti hoops and 1 x leftover evening meal
Snacks/munchies - 1 x spaghetti hoops, and several x bowl of smash (seasoned with S&P and a little vinegar its fine by itself) - 4 portions of chocolate @ a few syns each, and afternoon snack is going to be cereal & milk again to get 2nd HEB and HEAs.
Dinners - I had rice, pasta and a tin of peas in the cuboard at home Soooo...
Risotto (1/2 tin of peas, loads of the rice, vecon, balsamic vinegar and herbs all from stock cupboard) - made 3 portions so one last night, will have one for a lunch and one for another evening meal.
Pasta bake - cooked pasta, 1/2 tin of peas and 1/2 carton of passata that has been reduced on the hob with various herbs etc, baked in oven until crispy top (I think I have some cheese hiding at the back of the fridge so will chuck that on) - will make 4 helpings but only 2 meals because I'm bound to go back for seconds!
Then I've got 1/2 carton of passata which will have to go with some rice or pasta and lots of herbs to be a pauper's dinner for the final day!
As I say, not the most nutritionally balanced week but needs must, at least I get paid on friday!:rolleyes:0 -

picnics are yummy
spanish omlette is delish (potatoes, onions and peas within an omlette) and is nice cold
slimming world quiche is similar, but adds cottage cheese to the mix and baked rather than cooked on the hob
raw veggies (carrot, cucumber, peppers, cherry toms, broc) and dips/cottage cheese/homemade hummus usually go down well
cous cous salad - adding loadsa roast veggies
feeling posh? I like meditteranean vegetable and halumi kebabs
tabbulleh - bulgar wheat, chopped (fresh)toms, cucumber lots of mint and parsley
pasta salad of course
potato salad - using syn free mayo recipe from the SW website
1 syn vegi samosas are nice cold (the recipe is in this board somewhere!)
I am currently hunting about for a chick pea felafel recipe - this would be great for your picnic - anyone know a good one??
hope you have fun and the sun shines for you!!0
