Gallstones stopped me eating almost completely (doctors thought I was anorexic) but I wouldn't wish that pain on anyone!

Does anyone know if I'm allowed to use the Marmite Cheddar Bites as a Healthy A? It's just cheddar cheese and Marmite, but I have a suspicion I'll have to syn it.
GALLSTONES........i had my gallbladder out 15yrs ago. Was only 29 and it was the best thing they ever did for me. The pain is worse than childbirth. And yes the only good thing about it was i had no appetite and did loose some weight. But wouldnt wish it on my worst enemy. The dr told me it was ususally women who were fat , fair and over forty who normally got them. he said i had 2 out of 3..... what a charmer he was. Hated him for that. I weighed 9st at the time . Was told by everyone that i looked good . What he said really hurt . Just wondered how thin they want you to be these days. . I felt fit and healthy and looked better than ever. I dont want to be really skinny just at a healthy weight where I think I feel and look good. And when I get to that point I aint gonna let anyone tell me otherwise. Im doing this for me and no one else. . Well ive got that off my chest now.. I feel so much better

I was 18 and underweight (was 7 ½ stone before I got it removed- I'm 5'10"), but I am fair :p So that's one out of three (I had the gallstones since I was 17 but didn't go to the doctors for 8 months as my mum had told me it was trapped wind- I now know trapped wind doesn't make you pass out in pain...).

I'm trying to get back to 10 stone, which is where I felt healthiest. I was always slim as a child/teenager and it was only medication that made me put so much weight on (proven by me losing weight as soon as I came off it). Still, I managed to lose about 2 ½ stone before joining SW (by eating mostly junk), and I've lost another 1 stone ½ pound in the last 4 weeks doing SW.

I thank my dad for the tall skinny gene :p

You poor thing. you were really young to have them. Pleased youv'e had them removed. Had to laff at what your mum said.. Mine said exactly the same thing when i first starting having trouble. Their answer to everything :D
You have done brilliantly to lose all that weight, keep it up . As for that skinny gene. I'd like to think that my youngest got her skinny gene from me, but i can honestly say she didn't. Didn't get it from her dad either. Just lucky i guess..

Hi Flossey, I am really interested to hear about you starting anti-depressants as I have just been given Fluoxetine to start taking today. After months and month of struggling with the kids, the house, work and of course, losing weight, I have found out I have a type of depression that makes me lethargic and makes me crave carbohydrates. Wonderful! Aren't there any illnesses that make you repulsed by food and addicted to exercise? (oh yes, anorexia, well okay, I wouldn't want to go that far.:o ) Anyway, hopefully things will start to pick up from now on, so, I'll let you know!
HI been back on them for nearly 3 weeks now. and feel loads better. was in a right state. all stemmed from been made redundant. flt useless ,a failure, angry, worried about the house, bills ,kids, you know the usual stuff. Just got too much. Was in teas all the time. Even in the middle of tescos. People must of thought id had some kind of bereavement. But just couldn't help it. No interest in nothing or anyone. It was my oh who said i need to see someone. I knew deep down things weren't right, but sometimes until someone else tells you otherwise you just plod on. The doc didnt hesitate in giving me something. The fact that i was blubbering in his surgery prob give it away that there was something wrong. :o I was fortunate depression didnt give me any cravings at all. And it was the only thing that i seemed to have any control over. The fact that i didnt have much of an appertite did help to begin with. When you have weight problem you have to stick to some kind of plan in order to lose the weight. It is going to be a life long commitment
I know these pills work and will prob be on them for at least a yr. . Im sure after a few weeks you will start to feel a lot better. Let me know how you get on with them. Good luck :A
