Hi
This is my first post on MSE and just wanted to say how pleased I am to find this thread - I really need to get back in the SW frame of mind but without attending class ( I really can't find the spare cash to go ), so I can really use the support and recipe ideas)
It's my first weigh in tomorrow morning and I like the idea of having people to tell, it might help motivate me....
Good luck to everyone

TUT TUT TUT angie - what a sarky skinny little monkey you are!i must say i feel like you but having gone mental and bought 5 TUBS:eek: of the stuff on my last online shop,i'm rapidly getting used to it!!!!i understand what you mean about about certain SW ideas,as most people will know from my frequent rants.you know, things such as 'quiches':D
......
.........anyway TRISHAA,my best suggestions are desserts as it's very sweet i think - with or without gelatine;) - or loosen it with some yogurt or fromage frais and then add mint and lots of seasoning to mix with boiled new pots.also a half decent dip/dressing/sauce can be acheived by,again, slackening quark(about 50/50) with plain yogurt/ff,adding a couple of tbsps of pesto/tapenade/something gutsy, then chucking in loads more fresh basil/herbs of your choice and/or crushed garlic.and definately don't be skimpy with the salt and pepper - preferably sea salt and fresh ground black pepper.it really does make a difference to the result:T  :rotfl:
HOPE THAT HELPS,
kelly. x:T:jHalf a stone off,only another 2 to go!:j:T:D;)Cats are truly evil,like women....;):D:p

well done to everyone else:beer:
Trishaa i use quark all the time , it takes the flavor of what ever you put in it over night .
I use half my tub to make a tub of mayo , mix in 2 tbsp of extra light mayo and leave it overnight and right the syns on the top of the tub and you have a whole tub of mayo for 3 syn .
The same with hummous , add 2 tbsp leave it over night , syn it whole tub for little syns , once you've syned it and wrote the syn value on your sheet you can go back to it as much as you want its then free .
Laughing cow cheeses add to quark and put it down as one of your h/a and its then free for you to keep going back to , and it also makes your cheeses stretch .
Philadelphia light garlic & herb or the chives one do the same add to quark leave overnight - fab .
Just have a go and try it , peachy x
SORRY i also put in horseraddish as i love it and 2tbsp is only 2 syn added to quark a whole tub 2 syns:T0 -
Hi everyone,
I've astonished myself this week and managed a 3lb loss! Considering I had family down at the weekend, so eating out with them and went to one of the OH's gigs with them drinking as well (I don't usually). I guess it's slowly hitting home about thinking about what I'm going to eat rather than just eating anything. I drank Gin and Slimline tonic at the gig as I knew this would be lower syns than the pint of real ale I'd usually have. What didn't help was being asked Slimline tonic? are you sure? when asked what I wanted to drink!
I just smiled, said yes I'm sure and thought I'm not going to get any more cerificates on my fridge that you've seen today if I don't drink slimline tonic!
I put all my awards on my fridge to remind me how well I've done. So anyone coming round my flat will know what I'm doing........... and I'm not going to let anyone sabotage my efforts!
well done to all this weeks losers.... anyone who put on, remember it can go with it's friends next week. It worked for me, my pound took 2 friends with it!:D0
