I agree about buying new clothes! My fave jeans were literally hanging off me and I bought next size down and after a few weeks they feel quite loose. I only spent a tenner on them so I'm not too bothered.

I have had some great bargains in charity shops since I've been slimming - a lovely brown top (£1.49) and a light chocolate coloured skirt with embroidery (£4), some white linen cropped trousers (1.99) and a black/white top £2.

I'll wear them till they get loose and give them back!!;) :rotfl:

Don't forget places like Tesco and Asda have basic stuff SO cheap. I bought a black/white striped T shirt for about £4 in Asda and EVERYONE has loved it. I could have sold it over & over again. Likewise Tesco - 2 last week one was £2 and the other £3 (both reduced and v good quality.)

Am still waiting for someone to help me update my progress on SW site. Please!:confused:

    Thanks for your support folks.
Trishaa, I mostly eat my 'normal' dinners, and just lower or cut out the carbs. Eg, for lunches I would have smoked mackeral with salad and some laughing cow extra light cheese, or omlette with ham, peppers and my daily allowance of cheese grated into it- yum!
This though would be difficult to do if you're out working- I am at home with the kiddies so I am able to make these things. It has been hard to cut down on bread, as a sandwich is easy to grab for lunch but its getting easier. For dinner I would usually have chicken/mince and veg, or steak and salad. I use gravy and take it out of my syns, this keeps it tasty and I never feel like I'm losing out. If I try anything new I'll post it!

Furr - that is amazing - well done you!!!:T :T I can't wait to get to 2 stones.

I stick to the Red (Original) days only because I get easily confused and while the weight is coming off steadily I may as well stick with it! There's been a lot of discussion at our club recently and while BOTH plans are supposed to be as good as each other, at the moment the people who are losing most consistently seem to be on the Red.

My friend started just before me and has been very up and down (weightwise) and mainly did Green. The last couple of weeks she's changed to Red and lost 3.5 lbs and then 2.5 lbs and she is jumping for joy!!:j She is now sticking to that because it seems to suit her she says.
Keep up the good work Furr!
    ;)

Furr - I meant to say - it's all swings & roundabouts really isn't it? There are those who say it's easier being at home but others say it's harder because you have easy access to food cupboards etc.

AT the end of the day, you have to have some willpower & determination and PLAN - whether it means packing a healthy lunch to take to work OR doing the same in your own home.

I just thought I would say hi. I've been doing SW about 2 and a half months and have lost a stone. I suppose that's not a massive loss but I've had 3 holidays in that time and only gained on one. Reading this thread has given me loads of inspriation.

Great weight loss deecaz - as you can see from my sig I have lost a lot less in roughly the same time (ho hum  )... so I think you have done just great!

We all lose at different rates here, but remember it is better off than on, and if it is slower to get off, it might just stay off :D

    Welcome to the gang :j

    Hi Angie,

Thanks for the welcome and congrats on your loss!

I've just reread my post and realised that it sounds like I'm upset, I'm not at all. I'm delighted! Just some people lose quicker than others. I had a lot to lose but I have one stone less to lose now!

    Thanks Kelly, GPuss and Penny

I think I might even make myself believe that yes I do deserve nice things now and what the eck, I am going to go shopping one evening and see what I find.

As someone on here says, life is too short, and I should know that a little bit more than most, just sometimes need reminding.

Thank you all, you are all lovely
