1½ off last night and *fanfare*
SLIMMER OF THE WEEK!! :j
I am really pleased. Our leader's set us a good challenge, which I'm going to join in on. 5 speed foods a day! Luckily I've been doing that anyway, but as I've not got any special occasions or outings planned this weekend, I should be able to stay on track, well within syn limits and might even manage to fit in a bit of exercise!
Hope everyone else is doing well? (Apart from if you're poorly *hugs*)
Right. Off to eat a boiled egg! LOL!

Well done, thats excellent
I set the challenge of 14 different HEB's this week, and 4 others accepted the challenge - think my the end of the week I'll be cheating and using different flavour Ryvita minis!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

5 speed foods a day - now that sounds achievable. I never tried the 14 diff HEB's as it sounded too expensive! Hmm, will have a look at my book this afternoon! :j

Yeah, it's quite easy really - but a lot of the people in our class who've been doing it a while seem to base their meals round their HEs, so it's trying to encourage people to fill up on free foods for their colour choice day.
Also, one of the challenge rules is that you can't touch your daily syns til you've had all 5 of your speed/superspeed foods.
thanks TractorGirl
I am going for 3lbs this week to get my first sticky sticker!!! I know 3 is a lot for a week, but I'd love to get to my half stone (and just over) before I go on hols at the start of July. If I don't get it, I won't be disappointed - it will just be good to lose. But 3 would be fab!!! lol!0 -
Hi everyone
I have been on the slimming world wagon for 8 weeks and so far my weight loss is 3.5 lbs :-(
I have about 2.5 stones to go.....
My main problem is that I cant eat all my he A's.
I dont like milk and not a huge cheese fan.
Will this affect my weight loss? I have lots of low fat natural yogurt and fromage frais every day with fruit so I am getting lots of calcium.
Has anyone got any ideas?
thanks0 -
Hi fluffi...
I've only been doing SW 2 weeks and I rarely have all my healthy extras either. So I have the same question as you really!
I wasn't sure if I was supposed to be, but I don't have milk or cheese often at all. This week I've tried a bit more by having a couple of laughing cow light triangles in my salad!
For my HEBs I have been putting bran flakes or 'Dorset Cereals' on my fruit and yoghurt for brekkie.
I've lost 4lbs so far. I've also got 2½ to lose in total.
You should think of your 3½ loss as a good thing - it might not be much in the time but at least it's the right direction.
Do you think you might be doing something else wrong? Are you doing any exercise? Are you counting all your syns (honestly?!) Drinking plenty of water? Counting something as free when it isn't...
Don't get disheartened! Do you go to a class?0 -
well i've just had my 1st mug shot (sweet and sour) and frankly i'd rather chew on a bonio!am i the only person that thinks they're vile?!i don't know how the manufacturers get away with calling them 'FOOD'!still got a chow mein and tomato & herb one to get through yet.can't wait....:T:jHalf a stone off, only another 2 to go!:j:T

OKAAAAAAAYYYY - complaint number 2!was still hungry so thought i'd try another packet as never normally buy them but thought i'd give them a go.had to clean my microwave TWICE as the liquid spilled everywhere.it said to put liquid in bowl or jug, cover lossely then follow appropriate microwave timings, which i did.there is NO sauce in my pasta 'n' sauce, only pasta, which i could have cooked on the hob in the same time with none of the mess or additives!sorry but why are these things called 'convenience foods' when they really are NOT either?!?:T:jHalf a stone off, only another 2 to go!:j:T

Stupid question but are you sure you purchased the right thing? Mugshots are, as the name suggests, made in the mug - you empty the packet in, add boiling water, wait 5 mins and hey presto done! There's no instructions on the packet for cooking in the microwave ...............
They're delicious too, especially the Tomato pasta one, in fact I keep buying them and they keep disappearing from my cupboard, I think my DH likes them too!!We’ve had to remove your signature. yep made my mug shot in a mug!just thought it was minging.maybe the others taste better?i'm used to homemade everything so maybe that's why i didn't like them, though i have to admit my favourite hangover remedy for a while used to be a bottle of dr pepper and a bombay bad boy pot noodle!!!!as for the chicken and mushroom pasta 'n' sauce from tesco, made up in the microwave as per packet instructions,it was difficult to tell what it should have tasted like cos the liquid to make the sauce spilled all over my microwave twice, between heating and stirring, therefore no sauce?!!wanted to try out all the free convenience ctuff but think i'll stick to doing it myself again from now on.after all,i can cook pasta and make a tasty sauce in around the same time as the pasta 'n' sauce, just don't have to clean my hob or wonder how many chemicals i'm consuming.....and it's a hell of a lot cheaper too!:T:jHalf a stone off, only another 2 to go!:j:T
