  • Been to weigh in and I have lost 1 lb :j I am currently losing 1 lb per week, but know that if stick to it properly, I could lose much faster. Still, if I crry on losing 1 lb per week, by the time my DS gets married in September, that will be a total of 2 stones by then :j

:T good for you CM:T - i think as long as it's coming off that's all that matters.i still eat and drink everything i want to,just less of the naughty bits,no one even realises i'm on a diet (sorry 'plan';) ) cos they normally see me drinking rum and eating quavers in the pub...:rotfl:
    :T:jHalf a stone off,only another 2 to go!:j:T
    :p:D;)Cats are truly evil,like women....;):D:p
    Was 11 st 5,now 10 st 7,would like to be....9 stone
  • FOOFIGHTER - just take it one snack at a time!seriously, try not to think 'oh,i shouldn't have done this, eaten that, etc cos the point is,YOU ALREADY HAVE and can do nothing to change it except make better, more positive choices from now on.one choice at a time, one meal, one snack, one drink (lots of water/squash/tea,of course!) and 'be good to yourself' as they say in one of the supermarkets....

Foofighter you are probably like me, in that losing weight has assumed too high importance on your balance list. Yes it is important, but not at the expense of your peace of mind. After all nothing terrible is going to happen if you do not lose weight for a couple of weeks or maintain or even gain occasionally. This is the nature of watching your weight.

This is something I have to struggle with all the time. This invasive feeling that I am not being good enough or losing quickly enough (mine is like climbing mount everest), and I just make myself miserable. Just recently I have had to give myself a firm talking to and to realise that even when I weigh another half a stone less, I will still have bad days and
good days and that the journey is of as much importance as getting there!

HTH and good luck. I am so with you!!:D

Years ago when I was at my ideal weight, I decided to diet as my Mum kept making comments about my being fat! I would kill to be that weight now. It started me on a course of yo yo dieting and was virtually anorexic at one point.I got to the stage when I would be in tears if I had anything "naughty". Since then I have had a weight problem. Ironic huh

I really don't know whats going on with me. I couldn't get to group last week because we went away for the night (first time i've not gone since i started in jan) so maybe that's why I feel like this. It's so silly!!! I haven't done anything wrong, flexible syns and all that but I had 2 cans of kronenberg  (they are 9 syns each ) last night. It's not like I haven't cheated before (I've had the odd indian/chinese takeaway :D) but today I have just woken up and feel like I am slipping downhill! How can I feel like this just because I missed group one week? :( I have stuck to the plan for so long and only put on once (1 lb) the whole time (since end of jan) which is great for me (from past experience). I am doubting if I can do it and I just don't get where this negative feeling has come from. I have so much to lose as well, maybe it's the 'will i ever get there' coming into play. I must stop doubting I can do it. I will go to group on Thursday and see how I have done these past 2 weeks. I don't want to fall of the wagon because I want to get rid of all this weight forever!! MUST BE MORE POSITIVE!!
foofighter , :grouphug: :grouphug: , we all put presure on ourselfs sometimes over going to class or like me going to boots to get weighed after we've had a break away or a night out .
BUT we shouldn't we all are human and have a life and as gpuss would say get out of life what you can , we're only here once so enjoy it .
Thats why i love this diet , it works and its a healthy eating plan :D .
So don't beat yourself up , you need to get weighed , so if you have had a little plip you can put it right , and if you're sls bonus .
Your doing great don't dout your do it because you will and remember its not a quick fix its a plan to fit in around your life :T :T , peachy x

    Mix to Max Question!

I'm attempting Mix to Max for the first time today and want to know if I'm doing it right! I know the main course of each meal has to be red/green and other courses or snacks, unless they are Superfree, have to be Synned at their highest value.

But do you still have your quota of healthy extras?

    For example, my menu today:

Breakfast was 2 x Weetabix (HEB) with a Mullerlight (free)

Lunch was left over Veggie Curry & Rice from Sunday - I made it from scratch and know it was 100% free on green. Followed with Melon, strawberries and raspberries (superspeed)

    Mid-afternoon I had a bag of Sunbites (6 Syns)

For dinner, I'm making Lamb Shepherds pie with carrot & swede topping, so a red meal. It'll be free apart from the Syn value of the pack of Savoury Mince mix which I'm about to look up. I'm topping it with sliced leek and grated cheddar (HEA)

Hubby isnt going to be home until LATE tonight - ie 9.30/10pm so I won't be having my Shepherds pie until then. So can I have my 3 x Ryvita (HEB) with Laughing Cow cheese (HEA) and tomato (free) at about 6pm to quell the hunger pangs?

    Thanks gang,

    TG xxx

TG - Yes you have it spot on - 2 HeB's during the day, 1 or 2 HeA's during the day.

use them either as snacks, or within the meal plan you are choosing for the meal (ie you can have a green meal and use a meaty HeB with it if you wanted)

Have a great day - I found it really flexible, but I really had to write them down as it is easy to lose track on a M2M day unless you are careful I found
