Well done bjd on your perseverance. I have one question regarding the FF plan. After you have done it for a week, and hopefully got a good weight loss...do you know what happens when you go back to the bog standard SW optimising plan? Does the weight stay off?
Looking forward to hearing of your ff results.0 -
BrownJasperDog - how long had you been following SW before you were 'allowed' to do ff?0

Hello everyone - so sorry that i just disappeared - real life kind of got in the way
well, i have fallen so far off the wagon I'm not sure if I can still see it! I have no excuses - went away for a while and never got back in the swing of it again - stopped posting and got lost.
I'm back to where I started weight wise and still don't fit into my summer clothes (good job it's been so cold - I can still wear my old stuff).
Frankly I'm fed up of feeling podgy so I'm picking myself back up and jumping back into the ring. I need to be much stronger - my willpower is really very weak.
How do you all keep motivated in the face of temptation???

Going away for a few days - back on FRI I expect to see some BIG losses when I get back.
I am NOT going to put any weight on - because I have just been packing and found several nice pairs of cropped trousers which I could not get into last summer and I slid into them tonight!:j :j Also I found a lovely skirt which I could not zip up and I put that on and it zipped up and it was LOOSE and twizzled around my waist. It's a long time since any item of clothing did that on me !!!:D

oooh have a lovely few days away PENNYLANE - I can just picture your twizzling skirt - you must be really pleased with yourself!0

Yey for you Pennylane, its a fab feeling, I'm wearing jeans which 8 weeks ago didn't fit, today they are starting to get somewhat on the loose side.
Paris Kate temptation is a horrid thing, I've been really fighting it this week, I've been craving chocolate all week. I have to keep telling myself that a smaller pair of jeans is much better than the chocolate. Have you tried keeping the diary of why you are eating, I know boredom is a major trigger for me, as is arguing with my OH.0 -

In the last 7 days I have had the following for my evening meals:
prawn (B) and veg curry with rice
salmon n stir fry veg
Pumpkin and ricotta (b) canneloni with tomato sauce, roast peppers and spinach
meatloaf, tomato sauce, new pots (b), green veg
spagetti meatballs (b)
burgers with bun (b),wedges (b) salad
Kofta (b) cous cous and hoummus (b for tahini)
Angie,
if you wouldn't mind, the pumpkin and ricotta canneloni sounds lovely and i was wondering if you would post a recipe for it please?!
Well done everyone for the great losses, have been reading the comments but not really felt very worthy to post any as i am being constantly bad lately! i have not gained any weight so feel like a bit of a cheat for cheating! STS at WI last wednesday. i think drinking lots of water mon, tues and wed is helping!Total weight loss to date 18.5lbs! :j0 -
I'm off to WI in a few minutes and I've been a bad, bad girl this week
I'm afraid the lure of warm, freshly baked bread got to me - it was granary, so not too bad in itself, but 'twas the Lurpak I put on it that has done the damage!
I was really good over the weekend but I think the damage had been done. I think I'll've put on a pound or 2:(which means I won't get my Club 10 or 2 Stone awards this week, but I've no-one to blame but myself.
I'm giving myself a major slap on the wrist and I'll knuckle down to it again this week, I promise! :AWe’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Hmmm...I had the same thought myself. They are always telling you to eat sufficient to ensure that your body doesn't go into starvation mode. Will I just put it all back on next week, even if I stick to food optimising? I will ask that question tonight. I am just hoping that the FF week is designed well enough to ensure that won't happen. I realise that I will have to be quite careful next week. I'll let you know!0 -

I joined on 21st January 2008, but as I only had 1 st 10 lbs to lose I felt I could have done it much quicker. The last few weeks before I went on holiday I was still losing but only between 1/2 lb and 1.5 lbs a week, and that was with very few syns. I was just getting a bit frustrated! I suspect some consultants are more reluctant to suggest trying Fast Forward than others.0
