    Thanks for pm:)
Haven't managed to have a look yet, but will find a bit of time today to do so. I really don't want to give up SW as it was helping me to lose weight, I have also kept off what I had lost, even though I haven't been rigidly sticking with the plan lately.

    Hi Guys

I joined SW last week but I didn't get a password nor did my leader give me a number to contact her on - in fact she didn't seem bothered at all about me being new......

so if anyone is able to let me have the password I'd be grateful. Thanks x

Hi everyone, thanks for your interest and encouragement!

Another good day where I've managed to stick to it, and I've not been hungry at all today. I've been busy all day so that has probably helped.

B: 1/2 grapefruit, 2 weetabix and 200 ml skimmed milk

L: 2 wholewheat crispbread, 1oz extra light Philadelphia, French Fries, Mullerlight

Snack: 1 tomato saved from lunch!

Tea: Stir fry made from 4 oz prawns, 1 sm onion, 1/2 red pepper, 2oz broccoli florets, 2 oz baby whole sweetcorn, 1 tbsp dry sherry, 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 oz noodles, also 5 oz mange tout from my veg unit.
4oz raspberries and 4 level tbsp very low fat fromage frais.

We had guests for tea and with having the raspberries and fromage frais for a pudding, I just felt as though I'd had the same as everyone else.

Turns out its my star week but surely nobody can retain 6 lbs of water can they?:rotfl:

Penultimate day tomorrow, and roast chicken dinner. Should be alright!
WELDONE YOU FOR STICKING TO IT :T , i love my food and theres no way i'd do it , i'd be so snappy and moody .
Big weldone yov're got more wilpower than me ,keep it up mate ,your get there :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T

    Hi everyone

:o Sorry I'm not all that chirpy at the moment - I am trying to decide where to go from here, and how to proceed with this weight loss project thingy.....

I DO like slimming world - It allows me to eat the kind of food I like, and in truth, the kind of food I have always eaten. It helps me limit my drinking, and be 'better behaved' when eating out.... however, tasty and nice as it is, I am not actually losing weight.

I have about 2 stone to lose. I lost 3 lb in the first two weeks - I believe a direct result of immediate habit changes - halved wine consumption, no butter/oil in cooking, elimination of 'patisserie style' treats every evening (lol - cakes, puddings etc!). Stopped having a takeaway every friday. etc.

I have kept all of these changes, but during the next 6 weeks I have lost only 1.5 lb which is a bit rubbish.

    I write everything down (everything!!)
    I drink lots of water
I keep within my daily syns, usually using 8.5 each weekday, 14 at weekends.
    I weigh my B options,
I use red and green almost equally, and occasionally mix2max
I cook everything from scratch (always have), so no hidden syns in jars/packets etc
    I am not hungry
I do not eat between meals (never have really)
    I use 1 A and 2 B's daily -- rarely do I use my second a.
In the last 6 weeks I have been 'naughty' twice (one chinese takeaway, one fish and chips)

Is is just that SW isn't the plan for me? (which would be a shame as I find WW too bossy, and self control alone aint gonna shift it) - I like to have rules set, and then I can stick to them.

moan moan - :o sorry - I wouldn't mind the hard work if it was working. It is good that it isn't going ON, but with all this work it should be coming OFF!

    help:confused:
big hugs mate :grouphug: :grouphug: , keep at it ,it will come off .
This week because im on nights ,ive mixed up my h/b , i've saved one and had two weetabix at say 3 am one night with strawberries and other friut on.
The next day when i wake up big mixed grill   , dinner chicken salad new pot h/b , fruit yogurt , for work pitta bread -tesco free from 4 syn filled with quorn tikka trips salad and fruit to much on , 2 alpine light bars h/b at 3am .
Try doing something like that hun , shock the body  , have been on toast for brekkie plus fruit & yogurt , have quorn sliced meats and salad , home made coleslaw, potatoe salad , fresh herbs on salad , then later your cereal h/b and fruit for supper , have a think about differet ways of mixing up your brekkie ,lunch ,dinner , peachy x

If you're having 8.5 syns on weekdays it sounds like you're sticking to the same foods. You need to vary it and see if that helps.

    Hiya

8.5 syns is.... one spirit, often gin (25ml = 2.5 syns) with slimline mixer, and 175ml wine (6syns)..... yeah, I know I should drink less... but before SW was at least double this.

I rarely (if ever) use syns within my meals, maybe an occasional stock cube - because I always cook entirely from scratch, I have very different meals each day, lunch and dinner - I certainly could not be accused of eating the same things each day - that would totally bore me and drive me off this plan quicker than anything else!! I love cooking too much!!

In the last 7 days I have had the following for my evening meals:

prawn (B) and veg curry with rice
    salmon n stir fry veg
Pumpkin and ricotta (b) canneloni with tomato sauce, roast peppers and spinach
meatloaf, tomato sauce, new pots (b), green veg
    spagetti meatballs (b)
burgers with bun (b),wedges (b) salad
Kofta (b) cous cous and hoummus (b for tahini)

Tonight I am cooking (red today) mexican fajita with skirt steak, peppers, onions, mushrooms, my own mix of spices, wrapped in lettuce leaves. Starter of potato skins (b) with bacon, tomato salsa and grated cheese (a)

Lunch has similar variation - I stay at home, and hubby works from home, so I cook lunch daily.

If anything I will agree that I don't vary breakfast much. Every day one A is 250ml SS milk (measured into a little bottle each morning). Breakfast for me is ALWAYS superfree. I won't use my other A or either B's at breakfast (because I use them in the other meals) - so I tend to stick to muller or plain yog, fruit etc....
  • Hey guys,

Weighed myself today and in my first week I've lost 2lbs!! Am so chuffed and I was still eating white rolls!!! LOL

Anyway this week I've meal planned properly and ended up spending £60 at tescos, but in good way, lots and lots of fresh healthy stuff. Looking forward to this week now because if I can lose 2lb without even trying properly, what can I lose eating exactly what I am meant to!!

    Mxx
  • Last night was the top of the mountain and it should be down hill all the way now. Here's what I've had today:

    B: 1.5 oz cornflakes + 200ml milk

L: 2 slices wholemeal toast from a small loaf and 2 poached eggs

    Snacks: 1 apple, 8 strawberries

Tea: 3 oz roast chicken, 3 oz carrots, 3 oz cauli, 3 oz savoy cabbage, 6oz potatoes, 5 oz broccoli (veg unit)

Another lovely big tea again, as you can see, a really heaped up plate. I haven't been hungry today. I took the kids swimming this afternoon and I felt a bit weak afterwards. A boost to my blood sugar might have helped, but instead I sat about on the sofa writing my shopping list for next week!

I am now just waiting for my weigh in tomorrow night, and hoping for that 6 lbs! My own scales are usually pretty accurate, and I always check myself before I go. If I seem to have lost 6.5lbs or something I will change into heavier trousers! I am fixated on getting that 6 lbs. Of course if its only 5.5lbs I will cut an arm off!:rotfl:
