I've finally discovered the food diary on the slimming world website!! Its fab, and i've realised where I've been going wrong, for the past week, I've been down at least 17.5 syns!! Oppss!! So now need focus on getting that down obviously.
First question, of many I'm sure, i know you can have two slices of wholemeal bread as a healthy b. What if I had two whole meal rolls?? What would I count that as?0 -

Does anyone know whether the Asda no added sugar fizzy drinks are free ?
Yes they are. I think that *most* diet drinks or no-add-ed-sugar drinks are.
I can highly recommend the Asda Diet Bitter Cranberry juice. Although funnily enough I find it quite sweet so I mix it 50:50 with diet tonic. I think they are doing any 4 x 1litre bottles for £1.50 at the moment so I get 2 of each!

TMD - you can have 2 slices of wholemeal bread but only certain ones or any WHOLEMEAL bread/roll (EXCEPT pitta) as long as it only weighs 57 grams.i know there are some rolls that are small which people use and you can have 2 of them or you might just have to cut some of the bread off!that's what i'm do if i having toast for brekkie.some people cut the crusts off their bread anyway,so i'm not the only weirdo:rolleyes: .....
if you go to the SW site, log in then click on 'eat and slim' on the menu bar you will find 'lastest healthy extras' in the options.you then choose what colour and what HE choice and it gives you a drop down menu list of all the healthy extras you can have in that catagory from the FO book plus lots of new ones.

Hi!
Thought it might help (me/others!) if I wrote down my mealplans every now and then.....(especially, as you know, I am struggling to lose weight - if I am getting it wrong feel free to let me know!).... so today I had:
Green
250ml SS (HeA) used in cups of tea through the day. milky coffee at end of the night if not all used up
B muller light
S 2 fresh apricots
L Spanish omlette (potato peas and onion) with peas, banana
D spagetti meatballs, made using lean mince beef (HeB), tins toms, onions, fresh herbs, balsamic vinegar, parmesan cheese on top (weighed, HeB). Green salad. Pear
I also have a fresh pineapple (and lots of other fruit) in the fridge is the sweet munchies sneak up on me.
syns: tsp olive oil (2). will have 175ml glass of wine later (6)
water - 3 glasses so far (other than tea which I don't think counts!)0 -

:rolleyes:Someone post earlier about some snack bars you can get from holland and barrett which you can eat 5 of as a HE.... I cant find the post and I need to know what they are called.... can someone help????
Hi there - I posted about these on another thread - (Lose Weight 21) - perhaps you saw it there? They are called scan-bran and you can have 5 a day as one HEB or you can syn them at 0.5 syn each.
I prefer to syn them as it is only 2.5 syns, then I can still have 2 HEB's:o
Good luck with your weight loss! When life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!0 -

It's not snack bars (sadly) but Scan Bran which you can have 5 of as a HEB. Trust me, they're not anything like snack bars
Oops, crossed post!I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
angie_loves_veg wrote: »Hi everyone
Sorry I'm not all that chirpy at the moment - I am trying to decide where to go from here, and how to proceed with this weight loss project thingy.....
I DO like slimming world - It allows me to eat the kind of food I like, and in truth, the kind of food I have always eaten. It helps me limit my drinking, and be 'better behaved' when eating out.... however, tasty and nice as it is, I am not actually losing weight.
I have about 2 stone to lose. I lost 3 lb in the first two weeks - I believe a direct result of immediate habit changes - halved wine consumption, no butter/oil in cooking, elimination of 'patisserie style' treats every evening (lol - cakes, puddings etc!). Stopped having a takeaway every friday. etc.
I have kept all of these changes, but during the next 6 weeks I have lost only 1.5 lb which is a bit rubbish.
I write everything down (everything!!)
I drink lots of water
I keep within my daily syns, usually using 8.5 each weekday, 14 at weekends.
I weigh my B options,
I use red and green almost equally, and occasionally mix2max
I cook everything from scratch (always have), so no hidden syns in jars/packets etc
I am not hungry
I do not eat between meals (never have really)
I use 1 A and 2 B's daily -- rarely do I use my second a.
In the last 6 weeks I have been 'naughty' twice (one chinese takeaway, one fish and chips)
Is is just that SW isn't the plan for me? (which would be a shame as I find WW too bossy, and self control alone aint gonna shift it) - I like to have rules set, and then I can stick to them.
moan moan -sorry - I wouldn't mind the hard work if it was working. It is good that it isn't going ON, but with all this work it should be coming OFF!
help
Chin up Angie, where there's a will there's a way (as they say). I agree with Pennylane about the bread, try to cut it completely out and see what happens. Several of my members have done this to good effect, Also look at changing your pasta and rice from white to brown.
Other than that I can't really think what the problem could be, but have you tried following a 7 day plan from one of the magazines. If you follow it rigidly for a week, you should see a weight loss as you would be following the plan as set out by SW with no margin for error.
Incidentally, though you're not losing weight, are you losing inches?
Good luckI let my mind wander and it never came back!0
