    Morning

Weigh in this morning, and I am sure I have gained this week. No, PennyLane, I'm not whingeing, it was my birthday and we went out for a meal and for the first time in 3 months, I didn't have 'diet' option, I had garlic mushrooms with cheese, chicken and chips and an Irish coffee with cream

It was lovely, and if I have gained this week, I enjoyed every mouthful :D

    Will report back later

I am not paying to go to class each week and then not put the effort in or make excuses. ;)

Well, exactly, I agree totally! There's no point otherwise, is there! Might as well throw £4.50 down the drain each week

Hi there! I have been reading old posts to find some good recipes: great ideas, thanks esp to peachey who posted a lot around p98etc. You mention SAS log - could you explain please? thanks in advance.
I am finding that eating mostly green days the food I have in the house is quite tasteless without using fats of some sort. I shall have to keep going till i've used it up!!

Charlies Mum - glad you had a great time! My comments weren't directed at anyone on here BTW!!;)

Tractorgirl - I can't afford the money or the time to NOT give SW my best shot. When I said about whingers at my group ... every single week some of them go on about how they KNOW they will struggle because they have a works "do", a wedding, a party or a BBQ. We all have periods when we have a cluster of "dos" to attend but since we are paying to attend it doesn't make sense to me (and several others at my group) to make youself miserable and GAIN weight.

I don't get it at all! Our consultant really has her work cut out sometimes chivvying them along. They look so miserable describing where they have "got" to go and what they "have" to eat. But they don't!! We all have choices and whoever heard of a BBQ host handing you 3 jumbo french sticks and a dozen sausages and saying "you must eat these, there's nothing else".:rotfl: :rotfl: The next week they come back even MORE miserable.

I thought the whole point of SW food optimising was that you have choices, you re-educate yourself about eating and you don't feel hungry. Most of us are where we are BECAUSE we ate too much of the wrong things & maybe didn't take enough exercise!!

pennylane , theres lots of reasons why people put on weight , ill health , having children , depression, low self asteam , long hour at work -no spaire time , friends added pressure to drink or eat when out , family , ect .
Its not all cut and try , but s/w helps you to try and take control of your life , and coming on here talking or going to class helps you see its not just you who is struggling , your not on your own ,and that makes the differece .
But only you can do it  , it mite take you a while bit if you stick to it ,it dose work :T :T :T , peachy x

    Hi,

I got weighed and have put 1 lb on, which considering what I have had this week, isn't bad at all :D

Penny, I know you didn't mean anyone on here, we have some whingers at our group, they say the diet deson't work, but when they list what they have been eating / drinking, it's no surprise they are struggling

Back on track again, just having a Pasta n Sauce for lunch followed by a Muller Light. I love the Aldi Optifit yoghurts, but my Aldi didn't have any last week :o

I am looking at this not so much as a diet, but a new way of eating for the rest of my life. I won't stop having wine, or takeaways, or going out for meals, but will try to make the healthy option where possible. If I want a blow out, then I will have one.

Well done all the STS or losers :j

Exactly Peachey! You don't know what is going on in these people's lives. Some people are under enormous pressure, though they might put on a brave face and not show it. You still have to attend family dos and bbqs even if you terribly depressed or sad. When I was young, all I had to think about was my diet, and it was much easier to just focus on myself and lose weight. If you are good, good for you, but let's not be too hard on the ones who are struggling.

Happy Birthday Charliesmum:bdaycake::bdaycake::bdaycake::bdaycake:and I'm glad you had a good time xx

I may not be around as much for the next few weeks as my OH is going in for his op, but I'll try and pop in as much as I can xx
