    Whats the new card/laptop system???

Each member has there own SW card. When signing in/paying you put it in a card reader which is hooked up to a laptop, you pay and then move on to get weighed. The person doing the weighing also has a laptop & you put your card in another reader. I think its all hooked up to the scales so records your weight automatically. Your weight is still recorded in your book :)

Our card/laptop system starts in June, my consultant and the weigh in helpers all have to go for a training course, she told us about it a few weeks ago, and told us we will have to give as much notice of missed weeks as possible as it isnt as flexible for the consultant to change if you give a last minute `can attend` call.

Well i have to be super good today as its WI tommorow after only 4 days since last WI.
I Have been fairly good since Wed, but have had most of my syns, which i dont normally, so today is a green day, egg salad for dinner, and a roast beef dinner with the trimmings for tea- Beef Hob, roast, mash and veg -Free.
Snack will be lots of fruit and yoghurts.
Have a lovely day everyone, hope its nice and sunny where you are, it hot here already!!

I like to use cans of beans/chopped tomatoes to show weight loss for me - I know it's now wholly accurate as a tin is around 400g but even after half a stone, I lifted 7 cans from the cupboard and it was heavy!

    Morning all

Posting from sunny Dorset, where I am sitting in a chair enjoying the sun and the birdsong.

In danger of falling off the wagon completely, last night had BBQ spare ribs adn Chicken Chow Mein, and this morning had a breakfast baguette which was bacon, sausage, mushrooms and egg on a white baguette

Having a BBQ later, so think today will have to be a red day, and I'll have to syn the sausage and bread.

Will have to be really good again when I get home :D

Hope you are all having this lovely weather x

Sweet Potato and Spinach Curry -yumm!!! My husband goes to a different class to me (because of the kids)and he won the raffle this week which was a shopping basket of 4 meals!!
I have cooked the Sweet Potato Curry this lunchtime and it was great and easy too!!
    Free on Green
300ml /1/2 pint of stock made from chicken bovril
750g/ 1lb10oz sweet potato peeled and cubed ( bitesize pieces)
1 onion peeled halved and thinly sliced
    225g/ 8oz baby spinach leaves
    2 garlic cloves
1 red chilli de seeded and thinly diced
1 tbsp of medium curry powder
    4 ripe plum tomatoes chopped
    salt and pepper
    1. fry off onions lightly with fry light in a pan and fry the garlic and chilli for a min to soften slightly.
    2. then add stock and potaoes to the pan bring to the boil and cook gently for 5-6 mins.
3 Add curry powder and tomatoes to the saucepan stir well and cook for 10 until sweet potatoes are tender.
    4. I wilted the spinach in a small frying pan with frylight and drained off the excess water before adding to the curry.
I did adapt the original recipe slightly by frying off the garlic and chilli first instead of adding it to the stock -I think it would taste better and I didn't want to add more liquid to the curry from the spinach.
See what you think! i had it with boiled rice.

This is just cooking away on my stove top. I have just done a quick taste test and it it LOVELY!!!!!
Great recipe. Thanks. (I substituted spring greens for spinach as I'm not keen on spinach when its cooked)
    I'll be having this again.
