Is the sauce book worth getting? You all seem to be raving about it! How much is it?

WELDONE JACKIEB:T :T :T ON YOUR WEIGHT LOSS.
HI little sister RIALOONEY weldone you on your weight loss to :kisses3: .
well just got back from asda and got some packets of sammy couscou 45p and the good for you sausages are on offer 3 for £ 3 , all the supernoodles and packet rice & the pastas on offer to .

Just a quick mention, if anybody's unsure, the Asda Good For You sausages are 1 syn each. Their own label Savoury rices are not all free (unlike Batchelors) and neither are the pasta in sauces , so do check before eating them. Also Sammy's Express couscous is very high in syns, so be sure to get the dried ones (these are free except the ones containing olives) and the Asda meringue nests are 2½syns each.
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

    Hi All

Have been eating quite a bit of fresh rhubarb recently as it seems to be on offer in many shops. From my FO book it is listed as free but when i look a little further ahead in the book to Dried, canned and cooked fruit it says 454g Rhubarb stewed is a HEB? I know no other way from eating Rhubarb except boiling (stewing??) it. Have i done wrong? Have i been eating rhubarb for the following week when i should have been putting it down as a HE?

    Am so confused.

    Many Thanks
    x

I'm sorry, but the book's right.........if fruit is stewed (or otherwise cooked) it has a syn value or is counted as a HEB. You can have 454gms of stewed rhubarb as a HEB and I really can't think of a healthier one :D .

I wouldn't worry too much - starting to food optimise is a steep learning curve and I doubt if it will have affected your weight loss at this early stage.

Edited to add: Sauce recipe book is £2.95
I let my mind wander and it never came back!
