Having a bad day at work - been in tears most of the morning but at least I haven't been picking! Green day today as Morrisons didn't have my free sausages in, so baked beans and egg for brekkie, coronation egg sarnie for lunch (HEB), pasta bake tonight with my other HEB I think.

Well done on all your weight-losses!

Skintt Cat I have just been made redundant along with 17 others. We finish on 30th April 2008. Some of them have been employed here for over 20 years.

Until then we have to come to work and not actually do any, as HR have employed contractors to do the work. We had to train them and they do our jobs on a higher rate of pay. We sit looking for jobs on line as HR won't agree to us have Garden leave and we can't get another job until 1st May 2008.

I could sit here and feel glum but instead I am seeing it as part of my new life.

Ooh they sound like a bad lot rialooney! I've been made redundant twice and its not nice, but better than resigning (well it looks better on your CV anyway as you can't help redundancy!) My company are trying to save money so maybe I should volunteer for redundancy! Not sure my director would be amused though as he's the one dealing with them here (I'm his PA!)! :j :rotfl:

I was PA/Executive Assistant too with a team of 7 administrators. Then we had a mini restrucutre and they made me an Project Support Officer and then had another restructure and made me Information Officer... it goes on... then redundant. All that mucking about has made my CV look very bizarre but nothing a cover letter can't solve.

I am happy and a positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.:rotfl:

I have just been given a great thank you for helping someone at work stay positive. She has a cook book that is passed down through their family community and it is curries with fish and chicken, Vegetarian dishes. She has brought it in for me to photocopy which is a real priviledge as it is usually reserved to the daughters on their wedding day.

These dishes are superb and mainly syn free as it is all fresh. All the way from India. Peachyest Sis you will drool just reading the book!

Stay positive and I will post some recipes as she has given me permission!:j
