TractorGirl327 - that's what puts lots of people off, lol, BUT it really works as a booster if you're weight loss ever gets stuck.

Peachy - it's quite likely dlb's Consultant was telling the truth. SW scales are insured for £300+ so the chances are that they're as accurate as it's possible to be, whereas, when you consider how many people leap on and off the Boots scales and how often they are re-calibrated it would be a wonder if they were all that accurate.

In any case, though we do get paid on the number of members in group, most if not all of us have a genuine love of the job and a keen interest in what's best for the member - honestly!
hi consultant, i hear what your saying, but theres no way the scales are half a stone differet , as ive been weighed in to differet shops , one in coventry the other in nuneaton , where my hight ,bmi and weight is the same  and ive keep losing and stay the same:rolleyes: .
Ive been doing the diet now for over 10 years and i know my body inside out , i was at target until last year where i put on 10lb from having my boobs done , they weigh 3 1/2 lb , ive lost the 10lb and 1lb extra now .
I'm a size 10 and my clothes are a nice fit a bit lose, theres no way the scales are half a stone differet  before they were thight and my body was trying to escape and now i'm having to buy new ones:T.
Yes there are good consultants my consultant before i moved was wonderful and the one before her who did the class before leaving was nice to , but not all are the same as you and them ( care) , so all i'm saying is get weighed at class and put it to the test go to boots after class and see

I was more nervous joining in here than joining the comping board. Nice there's another comper here. Found all my books ready and am beginning to look forward to starting the eating plan.

I've had my 2nd weigh in this week and lost 3lb, I was really pleased as I'd lost 8lbs in the first week and so had braced myself to not lose very much this week. IF I can lose another 3lbs this week I'll have lost a stone in three weeks.:j

I take it you've done SW before from what you said so you're probably all genned up but if I can help in any way just give me a shout. Good Luck:D

do you all go to classes? I can't and a couple of years ago signed up to their on line course and found it useless to say the least! I'm thinking of starting my own class - just for me - starting on Monday. I thought part of my class will be to start at the first post on this thread and work my way through. At the moment I just dip in and out. You do seem a great bunch and help each other.

Welcome to the thread NOSONDUU:j. That's what I did and there are a few of us DIYers on here including Consultant Peachey, who is a mine of information and a motivator to all of us. I got myself the directory (phoned SW and ordered it) and I've bought a good set of digital scales and weigh myself every week. Go for it if you're not happy at your class xxx

does anyone know a recipe for biscuits or cookies?

    subtitle_gingerbread_biscuits.gif Makes 30 biscuits
    Syns per biscuit:
2½ Syns on Green and Original
    Preparation time:
    30 minutes
    Cooking time:
    Approximately 10-15 minutes
    Ingredients
    5oz/142g plain flour
    2½ oz/71g self-raising flour
    2½oz/71g cornflour
    1oz/28g artificial sweetener
    2 tsp ground ginger
2 tsp finely chopped glace ginger
    2 level tbsp butter
2 level tbsp low fat soft cheese
    1 tbsp oil
    1 egg
¼ tsp almond or vanilla essence
    Method
    1. Sift the plain flour, self-raising flour, cornflour, sweetener and ground ginger into a bowl. Mix in the glace ginger.
    2. Beat together the butter, low fat soft cheese, oil, egg and essence in a separate bowl. Add the flour mixture and mix quickly into a dough. If too dry, add a few drops of cold water. Knead gently, wrap in plastic and refrigerate for at least 10 minutes.
    3. Transfer to a floured board and roll out to ½ cm thickness. Cut into 30 shapes and place on a lined baking sheet. Bake at 170°C/325°F/Gas 3 for 10-15 minutes until golden brown. Place on a wire rack to cool before serving.
