I got up with a sore throat this morning, and over the day it has developed into a full blown cold, and I now feel awful. It's weigh in tomorrow, but if I feel like this, I won't be going.

I don't want to text my consultant in case I feel better in the morning, but what I want to know is, will I be charged if I don't go. If so, I might as well drag myself there to be weighed, then come straight back out.

You're allowed 6 weeks off without paying back fees in any one year. However, if you still feel unwell tomorrow, it would be a good idea to ring and let her know you won't be going.
Some Consultants can be quite inflexible about this and you are really supposed to let her know in advance if at all possible.

    Hope you're soon feeling better.
I let my mind wander and it never came back!
  • I've weighed in tonight and lost the 2.5 lbs I gained last week! Thanks to everyone on here that's been right by my side all week long! I've drank about 60 gallons of water I should think, it does work! I will carry on drinking like a fish. I just need one pound to make my Club 10 next week - so what's the challenge for this week?!

    Hi all,
I've lost 3lbs and received my Club 10 award.
I've got loads of reading to do now to catch up on this thread.
The thing that I did different last week was having 4 ryvitas each evening with either laughing cow cheese spread or yummy nuttella flavoured quark. I went to bed feeling satisfied!!! OK ............. I wasn't hungry.
    :hello:

well done to brownjasperdog and k66.

Can I just say i have had the best meal ever..... if you are planning or want suggestions for red please try the seekh keebab MMMMmm. Fancied a donna for ages and this ticked all the boxes. Came from here can't remember from who, but thank you.

1 fresh green chilli, deseeded and finely chopped
    2 tsp ground ginger
5 minced or chopped garlic cloves
2 tbsp finely chopped corriander leaves
    1 tsp roasted cumin seeds
500g pack of extra lean minced beef
2 tbsp finely chopped red onion
1 tsp mild or medium chilli powder
    1 beaten egg (poor thing...)
    2 tsp sea salt

Bung it all in a bowl and squidge! Use fingers, utensils don't work well with this. Make sure it is all really well mixed together. Cover and pop in fridge overnight to marinate (I did not put in fridge, I used straight away)
Preheat oven to 190/ gas 5
Divide meat into 12 portions and shape each one round a metal or bamboo skewer.
I found it easier to make sausages and then thread skewer through the middle.
Place on baking tray and spray lightly with fry light. Bake for 15- 20 mins turning once during cooking. Serve with wedges of lemon to squeeze over.
.... they are gorgeous and free on a red day and they also freeze brilliantly.

I adapted this slightly put in the fridge for a couple of hours and made into 12 little sausages but didn't put on skewers because I didn't have any.

I then made some garlic sauce with vlf youghurt half a small tub and 2 crushed garlic cloves.

Take a pitta bread (I used free from from tesco bit dry were only 4 sins, might be worth using more sins for nicer bread), put some lettuce, lots of the little sausages chopped and then cover with the garlic sauce. It was so good, really, just fantastic!!!! 5 star recipe. Yummy please try
