Well done TG and Jackie and all the other losers. Also redmel that's great
you only put on a pound given that you haad a tough time last week.
I'm having a green day here and had grapefruit of breakfast and pasta with a veg and artichoke sause and mozarella HEA for lunch. Sinned by pinching a couple of the kids (oven) chips - they are on holiday at the moment. I have no inspiration for dinner though!Saving to pay the tax man0 -
Thats were the real weight loss damage is done, not by allow yourself a extra leeway -say an extra 20 syns or so- but by giving up for a week a month a year.
That's like saying 'OMG:eek:, I've just eaten a cream cake, I might as well eat the whole pack now, as the damage is done. The 'real' damage is done after the initial slip-up, which you probably would've got away with if you'd stopped there. Most of us do it at some time or other:o.:smileyheagpuss0 -

That way you don't beat yourself up and get back on track , and not think like we all do oh well iv'e blown it now what the hell ,and carry on doing it the rest of the week .
This is for a odd night out or say a day out to the see side ,do you see what i mean , it scared me to at first0 -
I think the flex syns are a great idea, if used as they are ment to be.
My consultant swears by them, if you know your going out or to a bbq ect and you know you are going to find it hard to keep to 15 syns she said plan in advance how many you want to use, say 45 for the whole day then stick to the amount you have set yourself, that way as peachyest said you are actually proud of yourself for sticking to the higher amount and then go straight back to normal syns the next day.
My consultant said to only use these when needed and try to limit it to no more than once a month. And it shouldnt effect your weight loss.Proud to be DEBT FREE AT LAST0 -
sorry gpuss i didn't make it clear , its on about ,say you've been ask out and say you only had 15 syns aday and its friday you plan your meal around your red or green day using your h/b and allow your self the extra say 20 syns for that day only , you go back to normal the next day .

That's sort of what i meant, really, Peachey, but I was just saying that the same applies if you make a mistake. If you slip up and eat something horrendous, or if you want to have a blow-out meal or treats on a day out, there is a temptation to blow the rest of the day/week/month. But it's not that bad if you stop there and go back to the plan. It's the same principle, and if you call it 'flexible syns' it makes you feel as if you are in control of it, I suppose. It's when you feel out of control that you tend to go off the rails.
In other words, I was agreeing with you Peachey:T. I realise that 'flexible syns' are planned though, and slipping up is not LOL!:smileyheagpuss0 -
Can someone please PM me the password - I want to check some syn values but not at class until tomorrow night. Thanks0
