Bet you're glad you went now
yes i am. also our consultant gave a great talk on weekends, and how to avoid the pitfalls and excuses she hears every week, which was good, as a lot of us were nodding along with the excuses!!!!
our consultant is off on her hols for next couple of weeks, wondering who we will get instead, its funny how i've got used to this one, and hoping i don't get an awful one who puts me off track now. i've sort of set a an interim target to get to my 1 and a half stone by the end of march which in theory i should do easy, but time will tell. but i like having something to aim for that i know is acheivable.0 -
Thanks Consultant, I will consider my legs slapped (in a nice way)
and soldier on. I know the weight will come off if I stick to it. I will try to be really good at the weekend
Going to Morrisons to get some of their eat smart sausages, as I'm not really keen on the Quorn sausages
I'm going to do the Quorn chow mein tonight, as that is lovely, and not a bit like a slimming mealYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
Morning all!!
Well done losers:DJust had my wholemeal toast for breakfast (can't always face eggs, etc.) and ham quiche and salad for lunch. Out for tea, so I'll have to choose wisely
I'm going to do the beef kofta curry with yoghurt dressing over the weekend, which was mentioned on here, but I found the recipe in SW magazine. Someone (might have been Shanleypink) mentioned kebabs too. I don't have the curry book, so if anyone knows how you make the kebabs, please let me know...
My first weigh-in Sunday:eek:, but is it mostly water you lose in the first week? I seem to remember someone saying that to me...:smileyheagpuss0 -

Don't be nervous about the weigh-in, its the first of many! Some people do lose quite a bit in the first week as the body has had a bit of a shock!
Can someone PM me the password please.
I would also love to see some curry recepies. I suppose chicken korma and peshwari naan isn't very low syn though
Kebabs with a big salad would be nice though.
Ive had my yoghurt and pineapple for breakfast which was yummy. Tesco delivery tonight with tons of fruit and free yoghurts. Also going to make the thai veggie thing from jan magazine this weekend.
Are tinned tomatoes free? I make a lovely sausage casserole which i reckon should be quite low syn. Can anyone advise....
sausages (i can use quorn)
1 tin tomatoes
400ml gravy (i could use bovril to make free?)
mushrooms
peppers
onion
mustard seeds
coriander
2 red chillis
Fry mustard seeds, chillis and onions. Add mushrooms, sausages, peppers and cook for a few minutes. Add tinned tomatoes + gravy. Simmer for 20mins or so, add coriander near end of cooking time.
I reckon this would be free on a green day so could serve with jacket potatoes and veg??0 -
I lost 2lb this week so total is 8.5 since is started so im really chuffed with that
I'm off to the pub for a meal tonight so will have to try and be sensible and have a free lunch etc all day to compensate as not sure what will be on the menu. I'm going to have to get back in to exercise this week.0 -
findingmyownway - that sausage recipe looks lovely. I might give that a go. It looks free to me and would only be the gravy to count or free with bovril.
I bought the bovril chicken jar..is this what makes chicken stock? I couldnt find cubes or vecan anywhere0 -

Hmm, i've not tried bovril myself. I think bisto is 1.5 syns per 100ml and as the recepie serves 4 i think taking the 1.5 syns/serving might be worth it.0 -
Hi guys,
Blimey, I managed 4 days of "being good" so far - this is getting almost to an obsession! Spending so long on this thread that I have to rush to do things prior to work and I haven't visited any other thread for days.
Last night the cafe brought us their unsold food such as sandwiches, chocapains, sausage rolls and danish etc - but I resisted and had NONE!!!
Crumbs, making me hungry just to mention it.Thanks to all for your continued support and motivational messages - and well done to "losers" .
