I bought a pineapple on saturday so my first question is, prior to cutting it, do i need to keep it in the fridge or can I just keep it on the kitchen side?

Secondly in the Times magazine on saturday there was a gordon ramsay recipe for griddled pineappled with like a sugar /lime/chilli syrup? Could I replace the sugar with canderal .......

or does anyone else have any recipes for my pineapple that I can try?
  • You dont need to keep the pineapple in the fridge, I currently have 2 on top of my fridge, I LOVE fresh pineapple.
I dont see why you couldnt replace the sugar with canderel. Pre-SW I used to put sugar & some mint leaves in a pestal morter & mash it all up, the leaves disappear & the surage goes green & sprinkled over sliced fresh pineapple, YUMMY!!
I just eat mine chopped up, if you chop it keep it in the fridge but dont leave it there too long cos you can start to smell the alcohol!!
    Have a good day everyone!

Decision made, I'm having a red day. I used to throw the chicken legs away, but since coming onto MSE, especially the OS board, I can't bear to waste them :D

Anyway, chicken legs for lunch with Baxters chicken and vegetable soup (HEB)

Beans on toast for breakfast (HEB) , nuts, just realised I've already had my two HEBs. Aaaarrrrgggghhhh, I've already opened the soup, so will have to count that as 7.5 syns :o

Chilli made with a tin of Homepride sauce, so that's another 7 syns :o

Oh bu**er, will have to have a rethink :rotfl:

:hello: Forgot to say I was going away for the weekend! I'm back now. Haven't eaten much but its not been good. Tried to fill up on veggies but OH friends cooks with cream and butter and there's no compromise! Lots of saucy meat etc which can't have done me too good, but hopefully the rest of last week and today and tomorrow can even it out a little. :o
